This commentator on the Watford game is horrendous.

 

Sounds like when they let kids have a go at commentating on a competition. 

 

I don't care what gender you are, some female pundits, notably Alex Scott, are better than the men.

I completely agree absolutely awful. I almost feel like I can’t say anything cos it’s a woman which is wrong. It’s nothing to do with gender. She is just a bad commentator.

Precisely. Be there on ability. 

 

Unfortunately, she doesn't have any.

 

I can't stress enough that it's nothing to do with gender. I'd listen to Alex Scott and Sue Smith over someone like Steve McManaman or Danny Murphy. Because they're well informed and offer decent insight.

 

The BBC Olympic coverage was well orchestrated with a mix of knowledgeable input too.

 

But she is just awful to listen to.

We are all quite happy to have a go at Martin Tyler  - the daddy of shit commentators. (BUT - he still seems to get all the big jobs - which is worth noting)

John Motson, Brian Moore, Barry Davies...

 

Just wonderful, instantly recognisable voices. And so much research. 

 

I'd love to hear more of our very own Arlo White on British TV.

 

Surely the voice of Sky when Tyler finally retires?

 

He's brilliant on the American streams. Even makes Dixon and Le Saux seem interesting with the chemistry they have.

Without wanting to be too politically correct, I wouldn't quite agree. Although not as full on as football, there's some decent women on the cricket, for example.

I don't care who commentates as long as they sound natural and capable of doing it.

Shearer and Wright are a good pairing, would like to see them throughout the season but we'll probably have to put up with Jenas/Murphy/Keown.
