Not sure I’ve ever had such repeated hope, for so long, for a player to come good who hasn’t. His goal against West Ham started the cycle again.

Unfortunately, he’s like a bent golf club. However hard you concentrate on swinging it, you know you’ll shank the ball at an almost impossible angle.

I felt the same about Kel.

His first season, not so good but gave him time, second season, not so good but argued at the ground he might still come good, third season I know the guys utter wank and cant understand why some still hope he will come good.

Cant wait for his contract to run out and he goes unless some dumbass at the club decides to offer him a new one? even Rudders cant be that stupid.

As weird as it seems, being good or decent are not the only reasons to extend someone’s contract. We seem to extend in the vain hope we can subsequently sell them, but this is clearly bonkers, as we are quite poor at offloading our unwanted assets.

He's just not at this level. Particularly with the English game being more physical, the guy is just way too weak, gets muscled out of things far too easily. If we get an offer than doesn't hurt PSR then we should take it.

And yet this place was buzzing when we signed him, myself included.  Coming off the back of a 34 goal season in Austria and Champions League pedigree with pace to burn he was our handpicked successor to Vardy.  He would have to go down as one of our most disappointing signings given the expectation.

Iheanacho was definitely good enough for the league at various stages.

Paying for 5 years of anyone’s time for very occasional good form is not really good enough, his inconsistency made him bad value. That may have not been his fault in part, as Vardy (to this day) casts a ridiculously large shadow.

I don't know if it's a confidence thing as we all know 1 bad game and he's dropped for vardy. Not many strikers would of been able to keep vardy out of the team. Maybe if/when vardy does retire we will see a new side to daka. But also could be me just hoping. Maybe it is time to try again with someone else. Could just be another kramaric situation right player wrong time.

There are very few signs that that is true

Both in the not good enough league, what tier is not really relevant.

Nonsense, Iheanacho a good PL striker used horrifically here. Surprised he didn’t leave far earlier

The fact that he can't get in the Sevilla team and hasn't scored in 9 appearances suggests he isn't particularly good.

I prefer daka myself, at least you get work rate and pressing from him even if his scoring is inconsistent.

It’s this for me, Daka is out of form and looks akin to some feckless trial it’s at present (even though he has performed in a weaker league) but he always works hard. Kel is an enigma for sure, but he goes missing far too much.

On a related note, Daka arrived with fanfare and was rejoiced by fans and media a like, but suspect he was lauded due to coming from the Haaland stable.

I guess a season in the champ and not really doing much will do that to your self belief.
His career has been on the downturn for a while.

Given up hope now.  He's had enough chances over a long enough period.  It isn't going to happen here for him

It’s like picking your favourite haemorrhoid though isn’t it.

You could make an awesome compilation  of his bad touches and misses.

Truely horrendous player.

We can keep hoping but it's not happening.

If I had a haemorrhoid that smiled like Patson I'd be delighted with my affliction.

Yeah because his career is done now at his highest level, not really that difficult to understand. I’m not talking about Iheanacho rn, I’m saying in his ‘pomp’
