I thought his pressing and linkup was good? Not sure what the people having a go at him expected him to do , he's not luiz Suarez, you have to actually feed him the ball, something Jordan ayew is reluctant to do and reid isn't capable of doing.

Because on the fast break lead by Daka, he showed his true self, running at full speed unable to control the ball or his body.

He lost control of the ball and made the wrong pass to the right with a sliding tackle of a pass.

If he was in control he could have played the correct pass to the open  McAteer on the left.

It's a relegation fight. Needs must.

Give me that over winding up away fans.

El Khannouss slides the ball between the centre backs in the last ten minutes at the City Ground. The striker's through, running onto it with only the onrushing keeper to beat.

Who do you want on the end of it - Daka or Vardy?

Clueless fans seem to forget all the games Vardy is on the pitch and misses 4 or 5 chances to get the ball in the back of the net after only touching the ball 6 times in 90+ Mins.

Everytime Daka has had minutes he is having minutes where he hasn't had a run in the team.

Funny enough when he has had a run in the team he has scored goals and gets taken out the team again

Mate Vards went two seasons ago

We get flashes. But in a relegation fight, you need a player that can do the hard running more than we need a player winding up the opposition fans.

He's the GOAT. But it's over.

Would that be the same Vardy who scored 20 goals last season and 8 in 23 this season?

No, I'm not..why?

Ones black. Ones white. Ones fast, ones slow. One can run hard for 90 mins. One can't.

Now I know you are a troll Vardy slow suggest you watch the goals against Palace and West Ham or the assist v Brentford what are you a Forest or Derby fan?

Did he have a shot yesterday ? Like not even a shot at target. A shot that was blocked ? An air kick towards goal ?

No.

Hes fecking useless, we all know it, the board know it all the managers know it.

But hes on 90k a week and we are stuck with him

He was fine yesterday, pressed high up, got behind the utd defence the one time the ball is played early to him, setting up a chance for Ayew. It doesn't matter who plays up front in this team, our build up is so slow, opposition defences are well set when we eventually go forward. Utd were very poor, acres of space everywhere, yet did we try to exploit it, no we just fuch around and let them get into shape.

I think someone tried to play him in behind once.

His ability to link the play and keep things ticking is probably better than Vardy’s. I’m far from a Daka fan as he’s a complete donkey in front of goal but I do think he should have been utilised a little bit more recently.

Honestly we should’ve loaned him out with hope he could show some form for someone else and then sell him… as it isn’t working out for him here

yes, we’d have had to get a replacement which is the problem.

Like Kel I would really have loved this lad to have come good but unfortunately he's a massive flop.

You can talk about his ability to press or link up but ultimately he's a striker and he doesn't offer enough threat, let alone actual goals.  If you're not doing that then you need the wide men around you to be picking up that slack to justify your own inclusion.  If you're not scoring goals but you're bringing other players into play who also don't score goals then you're a waste of space.  You can argue that the other players not scoring isn't on him, but if he can do his primary job then he doesn't need to be reliant on teammates to bring up the numbers and make his inclusion noteworthy.

This is our dilemma, we have a striker who can score goals with relatively few chances but is finding opportunities rarer, and outside of that offers little else.  Then you've got a willing runner who can press all game, but doesn't offer much goal threat.

Mental as it may be, we'd probably perform better without a striker at times, as we're often playing as if we don't have one anyway!

Buonanotte for false 9!

Or not.  Who gives a shit?

He has no standout qualities. Can't shoot (has he scored from outside the box since being here?), shit in the air, can't beat a man, isn't really a hold up player, he's maybe quicker than average but not enough to trouble Harry Maguire ( lol ).

Playing upfront by yourself is not an easy task - I completely accept that. However, he didn’t do anything yesterday and tends not to do a lot most of the time.

Run the lines. Stretch the back three/four. Attempt to run in behind for the long ball. Get into dangerous positions (even the goal it was BCDR in the poacher position not Daka). So many times we had to slow up because Daka is stood there between two centre halves just staring at the midfield. He has had two years with a man who has mastered this position, I’m not asking him to replicate the goalscoring exploits but do the basics and we’ll love you.

We turned down £20m for a tourist.

Agreed. He has pace and presses a little but offers very little.

Pound for pound as bad as Akinbiyi.

Get rid ASAP.

If you take pride inflation into account it isn’t

I agree and disagree with everything that you’ve put mate.

My only argument for starting Patson is how much he does actually make the pitch so much bigger by being able to run in behind.

Vardy is the GOAT but he is actually making us easier to play against in 2025, the guy can’t run.
