He really is f**king useless isn't he! Does he ever strike a ball cleanly it's always a scuff f**k knows what he does in training because he'd be the last person I'd let take a penalty. What does he actually do well  because I'd like someone to tell me. His first touch is a pass second touch a tackle he can't head anything his movement is shit and as I alluded to at the start his ball striking is shit it's either a scuff or hits row z.

Been said many times, the club hasn’t had a centre forward since day one of the season starting.

It has done little to change it

The notion play Musaka at number 9 is ok unless it doesn’t work. It likely won’t.

Its not all down to Daka missing a penalty, at least he stood up to take it.

Had we not caved in against QPR, a point and clean sheet would have considered a good result today.

It still was a decent result today, Watford thumped Wrexham in midweek.

We are better off tonight that at 12.30 this afternoon

Enjoy the break…..

2 weeks to get Mukasa ready for that no 9 role. Professional footballers should be ready to play most positions. Didn’t Mukasa play this role for City Youth?

Probably, but that’s a long way from the Championship, And he would get pilloried if he failed to save us, I have seen little to suggest he would….Dean Smith was going to save us, Ruud was, Marti was,

At this moment in time it’s sh*t or bust. Those games under Marti we’d have lost all of them. At this moment in time we are that close to putting a run together just need to find the back of the net. Defence looks more solid than it’s ever been under Rowett

I suffer from IBS, and I’m reasonably confident that, with sufficient chilli-based preparation 24 hours prior, I could have assumed a low, stable stance, parted the proverbial curtains, and - via a frankly operatic expulsion from the posterior orifice - generated more direction, conviction, and overall attacking threat than Patson Daka managed with that penalty.

He really is a total waste of time.

I blame the following people at LCFC for the fact he's still here, still hopeless but still in the team:

1. Those who thought he was worth signing

2. The coaches, who haven't improved him at all

3. The people who gave him such a long, expensive contract, so the likes of Crewe can't afford to sign him

4. The financial (mis) management people. Because of them we've not had any money to spend on a replacement in the last year or more

Is he a good footballer? No. Is he a bad person, or have a bad attitude or act like a tw@t? No. Its fair to say hes a bad footballer but to say you "hate this tw@t" is just unnecessary. Everyone is frustrated, but if we go down, it certainly won't be because Daka missed a pen and a sitter against Watford.

It all adds up. To state the obvious, if we go down by a point, then some could point to the missed penalty as why we went down.

Others will point to the horrendous financial mismanagement and the resulting 6 point deduction.

Even so, it was a costly miss and he doesn't exactly have much credit in the bank, in the light of his largely abhorrent output over the last half a decade.

That game hasn't changed anything I thought before it - he's shit, and he can't be relied on, but at least he'll actually get chances unlike Ayew.

The problem now is I fear both of the following: his head totally goes like it often does after a bad miss, and we end up with Ayew back.

Utterly damaging outcome today.

But it might be because he has 3 goals in the league below he was signed for

I did say initially, you are asking for trouble when it is on the ground. I am just saying I don’t think if was a weak or central as I expected looking at the comments. Those go in every week around the country and are deemed  good penalty. It was fairly powerful (or pace at least) and looked to have whip that was taking it further towards the corner. You could say about most penalties that if the keeper goes the right way they save it.

Take the Bristol City penalty against us, that was awful. Even Jakub butter fingers held onto it.

This one could of course have been much better. But I am just adding balance as given it is Daka, of course there will be a mass pile on. But that would take away from what was still a good save by the keeper in my opinion.

It was a poor penalty. The replay from behind Daka showed how centrally it was placed. It also was tentative and lacked pace. You only hit pens like that if you are the master at reading goalkeepers like Ivan Toney. Daka’s little stutter didn’t affect the keeper but reduced the pace he could hit the ball. If the penalty had been hit into the corner with pace then it’s far less likely that any keeper saves it.

It will be if we go down by 2 points. A penalty is as close to a guaranteed goal as you can possibly get. To miss that and then an absolute sitter is very poor. Thats the easiest 3 point opportunity we’ve thrown away considering the opponents threat across the whole game.

My comment on the match thread where I said I knew it wouldnt go in, wasnt a lash at Daka, but more so down to that when things are going against a player, then tend to fail to score penalties as well, it seemed a weird decision for him to take it.

I have a degree of sympathy with him for today. It was really poor management to drop him after he scored a good goal at Ipswich for Ayew to stink the place out. The guy hasn’t had a run of starts for about 3 years and needs rhythm. I can’t understand the logic in ever selecting Ayew, and Rowett should really be getting more criticism for recent team selections in home games,  that’s undone any confidence we were getting.
