Been told that you need to research your fit to fly test companies, some are an absolute shambles and all are a complete scam.

If anyone wants one that is reliable I can recommend https://midlandhealth.co.uk/ . I used them for PCR, antibody and spike protein tests before flying into China and it was all well organised and I was in and out in 5 minutes. They did exactly what they were supposed to and made a stressful experience slightly easier. Based in Leicester, just book online and go down and it's all very easy, loads of parking too as it's in a residential area not the city centre.

1. Fill this before arriving in Poland

https://www.gov.pl/web/gov/fill-in-the-passenger-locator-form

2. Within 72 hours of your flight, have a test - can be any form of test provided it’s from one of the approved suppliers, can’t use NHS tests but this can be taken in the UK if it’s within your 72 hour window (ie you fly to and from Poland in 72 hours)

Cheapest I found here - Test to Return to UK:
https://www.chronomics.com/test-to-return - £28
https://travel.livingcare.co.uk/product/virtual-lateral-flow-test/ - £25

3. Before return to UK, fill out another passenger form - the details of your 72 hour test are required to this form - https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk

4. You must take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 after you arrive in England – arrival day is day 0

 Cheapest I found here -
PCR:
https://travel.livingcare.co.uk/product/day-2/ - £65
https://covid.randox.com/day-2/ - £48

 That’s if double jabbed

I’d recommend randox. Use code flyryanair on checkout to get 3£ off. I’ve used other companies but I’ve found them to be cheapest / most reliable. They have special drop boxes to post results overnight for free - box located in Leicester and one In loughbourgh University

I literally didn't even know about no. 4. I thought you paid for no.2 prior to flying and did it upon your return, but did a test in Poland..

There's also an in-clinic Day 2 test that can be done at a place in the Highcross - Regenerative Clinic. Think they're 49 quid at the moment.

If that’s incorrect, what is correct?

You can take your test in the UK as along as it’s within the 72 hour window

its this bit that implies days which could be over the 72 hour taken from gov.uk site, im flying out on weds back Friday so this implies can take test in UK on the Tuesday..

When to take your test

You can take the test any time in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs.

For example, if you travel directly to England on Friday, you could take a test any time on the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The test result must be available for boarding.

It’s a complete ****ing scam isn’t it. That literally makes no sense from a “let’s stop people bringing Covid back to the UK POV” which is what this is all meant to be.

It’s all much of muchness.

If you fly back on the Friday at say 9am, then you can test on the Tuesday from 9am. That’s within 72 hours. But I totally take your point - it reads as though 72 hours from your departure day.

From what people have said they barely check

For info, those links I put were from an independent holiday planner/travel agent

Yeah, friendly heads up to be vigilant in Naples. I’ve travelled fairly extensively as a backpacker and non resort based tourist over the years and been in a few sticky situations.

The one in Naples was with a girlfriend at the time. As we walked out of the main area of the city a group of young men on bikes and motorbikes being really rowdy and drinking blocked an entrance to a walled park. I did what most would do and carry on walking down the road  so not to have to push through them with girl in tow. What transpired quite quickly was that I was walking into dead end for traffic, a single alleyway, a load more lads at the bottom and the ones from the park entrance were now closing us down from behind.

Something grim was undoubtedly going to happen this was not their first rodeo and we had obviously been marked way up the road by guys passing on the peds and bikes. We turned round, walked back and got confronted immediately- we walked out in to the middle of the road and began walking up it, with me shouting very aggressively at them whilst keeping in walking. Got back to the park entrance which was still blocked by only one geezer now on a bike who got pushed over and we legged it through the park and into people and then a cafe and a busy street.

The whole thing was over in about 2 mins but they had us marked for at least 4 mins previously. It was 15 years ago but I just remember it being a bit gritty so thought I’d share. Be vigilant foxes.

I went Naples 3 years ago and have to say it was brilliant. We walked from the Airport, but went the wrong way, and ended up what must have been the Naples Slum. Apart from a few strange looks, and a taxi driver who couldn't believe we had ventured there on picking us up, it was actually problem free.

There's all the talk of it being Mafia ran etc etc, but i never had any problems and found it a very enjoyable trip. Pizza is the best in the world too, without doubt.

It's not picturesque, but its charismatic. The pictures & videos you see of people living in abandoned high rise buildings are completely true. I'd love to go again, but certainly not for anything football related.

Ended up renting a car and driving to Rome for a few days having 'Completed' Naples.

As i went with another mate, we ended up walking back to our hotel drunk, in the early hours, and still had no problems.

All of that said, I am glad i watched Ross Kemps episode there after i had been...

enjoy lol
