Clubs shouldn’t be putting the fans at risk doing this, should send you the tickets.

I think doing this in Naples is a recipe for disaster. Warsaw to a lesser extent too.

Police I'm sure will be in contact with them but the lack of any football person at the club won’t help on matters like this.

Am I wrong in saying that it’s a UEFA requirement?

Been proven many times it is not. Plenty of clubs don’t do it, British and none British.

So the answer is yes. Fair enough.

West Ham getting into bother in Zagreb with Dinamo fans picking them off at the ticket collection point.

Exactly my fear if we do this for Naples

I know a fair amount of West Ham out there now.

Zagreb tried it last night and came unstuck, against your average WHU lot. Practically attacked a bar with normal supporters in. WH all together now and Zagreb don't want to know so taking the stance of picking off the odd people collecting tickets. Lad and his daughter got done by Zagreb ffs.

Our club are so out of touch it's unbelievable.

In Naples, I fully suspect it won't be ultras the problem in that circumstance. It will be young lads out to pickpocket. Was well described by a Liverpool fan to me when they say if you are in a small group, it's scooter rats and when you are in a big group, it's the ultras what take exception.

Someone suggested that they place a hotel nearby the bus pick-up point for Naples which ain't a bad shout but would leave folk stuck in the same place for a very long time.

My fear is that Legia will be out for a 'scalp' when it comes to trouble but Warsaw is a capital city, so generally the city centre will be busy. Moscow is so bloody big that I don't think they will really care. Early kick-offs are handy as well because post-game things will still be hope.

All I can find on the West Ham forum about any trouble is that 4 West Ham fans were arrested for leaving two locals in hospital after attacking them with bottles. Can’t see any reference to anything else apart from the ticket collection point problem.

club used hotels for ticket collection points for Seville and Madrid.  Copenhagen was some booths.  Didnt go Bruges or Porto so cant comment where ticket collections were for these.

I would imagine it would be a hotel for Napoli and Warsaw away?

Russia its probably some salt mine in the East and you will never be seen again.

Porto and Brugge were both hotels from what I can remember. Porto I remember being a tough one to find.

Porto was ridiculous. Miles out of the way and inconvenient for everyone except the club staff handing out the tickets. It's such a pathetic policy.

See they should make it easier ie hotels in the centre (Copenhagen booths were good) but the policy isn’t the problem. The policy in my view is a good one. It allows people who deserve the tickets the most to buy them and it stops tickets falling into the hands of the wrong people who will cause trouble.

Why would you do that and give them the added motivation??

Slavia Prague did a similar thing to us & mugged us off both on and off the pitch.

is anyone here mates with the Napoli lot. is there anything planned for the away game?

Yeah they said if we get to Naples before a certain time they'll carry fewer knives, with the added bonus of having them on show so we know who to avoid.

Arrive after that time and it's anyone's guess and a free for all.

I was told today by someone in the ticket office that tickets for Warsaw away were by invitation only but mainly corporate & players with around 3/400 going to invited fans & the club would be in contact if you was going to be offered a ticket. That is why there is no ticket info being released.

You can guarantee all the ticket office staff will have tickets .

Pre match action may now see it even hotter for our lot out there now.

In fairness all the trouble i saw was instigated by Napoli fans. Have to say the police were absolutely useless last night, just stood and watched.

Marodona chants definitely won’t have helped though.
