                    Kasper

Ricardo   Evans  Cags  Castagne

             Ndidi     Tielemans

Lookman     Nacho      Barnes

                      Vardy

At Brighton, we looked threatening for a rare occasion this season, with our most direct and threatening full backs and wingers on the pitch.

But knowing Rogers, we will line up with Bertrand/Albrighton/Perez/Maddison, play horrifically slow football, playing ourselves constantly into trouble, and he can claim 'we controlled the game'.

That front 4, have all scored in at least one of their last 2 games....Which obviously means they might possess too much goal threat for Brendan.

Surely Evans won't start.

After 90 on Wed, I can’t see it. Vesty still worries me. He also seems to look sad / pissed off in every training photo!

Could be another referee masterclass tomorrow Chris Kavanagh is the Ref, it’s his first premier league game this season and only his second this season after doing a game in the championship, we have 3 wins from 14 with him and 1 win in 4 games at home, 25 yellows and 2 red cards given out to us

VAR is Jonathon Moss 5 wins in 14, 2 wins out of 7 at home, 18 yellows and 2 red cards given to us

Oh don't do this to me before bed, I was optimistic a minute ago. lol

I just get this feeling he looks down on the other players.

He struggled with the laws when they were quite specific.  With the new interpretations he has no chance ….. Burnley could get away with a lot today because he won’t know what should be a foul ……

We need to start Iheanacho and then figure out the other players around him.

That won’t happen for the time being - not whilst we have Barnes fit (and lookman I guess)

it’s not Brendan’s preferred tactical set up  - need 3 atb in his world to play kel.  at the moment, he feels that there are more important things to address that just scoring goals!  When Brendan looks at kel, he sees David fairclough ……

It is extremely odd and if he doesn’t get significant minutes today then I think something is going on. You can’t be this stubborn with out of form players. I would get it to a degree if Kel wasn’t in such good form but the fact that he is and Maddison is in such bad form yet still plays is crazy.

Today I would play

Kasper

Ricardo

Evans

Soyuncu

Bertand (only as he seems the best at defending and we need to limit their crosses)

Ndidi

Tielemans

Lookman

Iheanacho

Barnes

Vardy

You have a player  worth potentially £50m

you want to sell that player in jan

if you stop playing that asset then his value will drop significantly

if you persist with playing that asset then there is a chance he will regain some form and justify his value on a jan sale ….

trying  to find reasons for you ????

This needs a ref that recognises 'game management' and doesn't allow the very obvious time wasting that Burnley always employ from the first minute. Don't wait until the last 10 minutes to start giving out yellow cards.

Dreading going a goal behind.

Bertrand (and the rest of the players ) need to realise that giving away free kicks today in our half isn’t a good idea (also try and avoid corners although that’s not so easy).  we won 4-2 last year against their seconds and we looked like conceding every time a cross was stuck into our box

Iheanacho not starting by the sounds of it. It goes over my head. No idea what he's going for.

90 minutes non stop chanting about Iheanacho please, this is ridiculous.

This would be a great idea if our fans changed. Something needs to be done

Not exactly the way to get behind the players who are actually on the pitch though, is it.

A huge raucous cheer and singing for him whenever he gets off the bench to warm up would get the message across just as well.

I doubt the other players would honestly stop and think " oh my god, our fans are so loud today and all they are singing is about Seniorman, how unfair ".

They'd enjoy playing in an atmosphere where we make any noise for once.

If anything the noise might confuse them.

Maybe. Still think my idea’s better! But I agree that chanting for a player on the bench is at least better than large numbers of the kop telling Jimmy Willis to f**k off,so there are worse things we could do.

I agree with Phil more than ric

players aren’t stupid (well some are) - one or two of them know that they are playing rather than kel  - hearing the crowd calling for kel isn’t going to help their concentration etc

this is our third home game with fans back - yes of course make a noise but the players need to feel like we’re all on the same page!

Well put it this way, I reckon we're only 45 minutes of dross away from booing today so my suggestion is way less farcical than what's likely to ensue.

I'm a huge BR fan but that is total madness if we don't start Nacho, and if Madders is in over him too- you've got to wonder what the **** is going on.

In other news, big test for Vestergaard today, and I'm not taking the piss. Burnley's front pair will look to absolutely bully him, think we'll see how tough he is today. Needs to be able to stand up to Wood and Ashley Barnes.
