I'd be interested to see our results with Kavanagh as ref. I feel like he hates us.

I think the last few have been quite favourable have they not?

Quite simply, there is absolutely no excuse not to batter these. Burnley are a pretty awful footballing side with a very average squad. They will come with their few hundred dull fans and probably park the bus in the dull way that they play most weeks. Dyche will inevitably whinge about how hard done by they are and how life isn't fair. Very predictable and not a game that's its easy to get excited for.

But it is a must win game after recent performances and one we must win convincingly.

Don’t agree in this tbf, Burnley are a well organised outfit, no they haven’t had the best of starts, but I watched them against Leeds the other week they played some good football, find it very odd how how you say they play a dull way! Because our recent performances haven’t been very pleasant to watch, I’d be amazed if we thrash these

I see Sky sports have us down for a 1-2 loss for this home game, but I still think Brendan will keep faith with a few who played well V Milwall and so I’m going for a 2-0 foxes win and a huge 🖕to the SLY SPORTS pundits !

Expect  another close match, we need to make their goalkeeper earn his money though, we are becoming shot-shy.

We struggled for much of the game against Millwall to put in any shots. It's also worrying that lately we've relied on the opposition lacking good finishing. If we're not careful we're going to concede five in the first half one day, and it will be too big a hurdle to overcome.

If you are out driving on Saturday and you see a metallic blue Lambo, you know what to do.

Think of it as a small hike in your insurance premium, but a big hike in the mental health of our fans.

Or:

Quite simply, there is absolutely no reason this won’t be a struggle. Burnley are a well-organised side with an experienced squad. They will bring a decent amount of support and probably set themselves up to be hard to beat in that disciplined way they play most weeks. Dyche will (predictably but not incorrectly) point out that getting results in the Premier League is hard if you’re not bankrolled by countries, oligarchs or international duty-free magnates. Quite intriguing and while not the most gamorous of games, very much a proper football match and one to look forward to.

But we could do with a decent performance and three points so let’s get behind the lads and show our support.

Don't really like saying this so early in the season but if we have any aspirations of challenging for a top 6 position then this is a must win. Lose this and that's 4 losses from 6 and leaves us with too much to do.

The team need a big performance and a big win to kick on for the rest of the season.

Their new signing Cornet has been brought in to help their wafer thin squad, it was a bit of a scoop to get his signature, I scream when he's running at us with the ball, a real handful, sometimes flaky but his qualities are backed up by a reliable source (strawberry). Sorry for Waffling on about him.

Burnley always make me nervous and the fact they haven't won yet adds more to that. I'd go for a front 4 of Lookman, Iheanacho, Barnes and Vardy but can't see it, if he brings in Lookman on the right I can't see him playing 2 strikers. He might go with Soumare in a 433.

We need to be creative, not chucking crosses in for Mee and Tarkowski to head away. Vardy probably won't touch the ball for 90% of the game but there is no way he's not starting. Would rather Evans and Vestergaard but not we'll risk Evans again after playing the other night. Castagne is limited on the left but he's better than Bertrand.

There's international foxes in different time zones that will use us as a primary information source. With TV changing so many games I often look at the match thread title as my first port of call for organising things.

In my opinion there's some posters who are desperate to start a thread and often overlook these little things that can quite easily help people out. It seems to some it's  all about starting the thread as quickly as possible (That's not meant to be a personal attack on the OP tonight mind)

I've always asked for standardisation in match topics. I suppose it's that little thing that I notice!

Ever feel like you're asking for too much?

My interpretation is that you are asking for standardisation from lots of random people using a message board.

O find life easier if you keep expectations low, especially in terms of other people's free will. 🤣

This will be a proper performance start to finish from the chaps.

3-0 Vardy, Barnes and Seniorman with the goals

No offence but every time I have ever seen you post these optimistic pre game predictions we have always gone on to play shit and either lose or draw.

Quite simply, it's not that simple is it? Literally every week there's a 'surprise' results in the PL and there has been for 30 years. No game or result is a given in this league. Surely you know that?

I'm all for being analytical and critical and, if things point to it, being optimistic ahead of a game. But I literally don't 'expect' a particular result anymore. To not only expect a win, but to specifically expect a thrashing is a bit mind boggling

Hahahaaaa you missed my 1-0 Vardy at Arsenal, followed straight up with my Elland Rd one last season then didn't you? Predicted 4-1 to the derision of many on here.

I'm long overdue one. Enjoy the win.

On paper we really should win against these, so I'm anticipating we'll lose in the most humiliating manner possible.

I don’t think we’ll lose badly if we do lose this one,  but I’m betting a different side, hoping that Brendan realises & benches the under achieving shot shy playing dreadful players with players that have shown real quality when called upon Lookman, Soumare, Daka, Thomas for instance?

The team can’t continue to play negatively, yes we were unlucky at Brighton but a relatively tame first half Improved by a couple of substitutes so this weekend I’m hoping we see a marked improvement in our collective performances shoot from outside the box  pepper the goal with shots stop being so bloody goal shy !

Yeah well you’re nothing but consistent. Looking forward to us battering these turnips.

Let's hope we go out and play to our strengths and attack them instead of trying pass through a bus play Lookman Vardy Nacho and Barnes get a couple of goals n then go possession based
