Again, and still trying hard here to take what you’re saying in good faith, plenty of people have been posting very similar stuff, and a lot of people have been expressing opinions on it, on this and other threads, so I struggle to see why on earth anyone could feel the need to post something to ‘play devil’s advocate.’

But the problem is even with the vaccine you still get it  My brother in law is doubled jabbed as the booster & as now had Covid got the 3rd time

You can still get it, yes. But you are way less likely to get it badly. Best wishes to your brother in law, I hope his vaccines and booster mean he doesn’t get too poorly.

I don’t want to get into details on here but I’m finding it quite hard at the moment as certain people in my life seem hellbent on this being all fake etc and sometimes I feel like I’m going insane

Reading these threads I notice too worrying trends. 

Firstly there are a lot of people genuinely unable to understand  or trust the information given by scientists and health advisers. This may be due to not having time to digest the information given, disinterest, trust issues or maybe just not being able to interpret data properly. Science and maths isn’t everyone’s thing.  More time and patience is needed to educate on this important subject though I know it has been tried repeatedly. 
More upsetting is the subset (aided by social media platforms) who probably get what is getting on yet deliberately try to creat misinformation and mayhem amongst those mentioned above who probably find this a stressful struggle to know what to do for the best. Shameful. Lives will be lost and mostly in the vulnerable groups.

In round numbers 130,000,000 vaccines have been administered in this country.  On average, 1% of the population of this country dies in a given year.  Put those two figures together and do a bit of dividing, and you will find that on average, we would expect over 7,000 people to die within 2 days of receiving the vaccine.  So I'm not going to get excited about the allegation that 1,645 have.

Mmmmm... not according to this ONS data.

Note that this is the probability of an infection being Omicron given a person is infected
 

All this is saying is that if you are triple vaccinated, you are more likely to have the Omicron strain as the vaccinations are so effective against the other strains after 3 jabs. Whilst it still effective against Omicron - it’s less effective than it is for the other strains. For unvaccinated the percentage mix of Omicron will be lower as they are also still more vulnerable to other strains such as delta too.

You have the "no one tells me what I can or can't do" brigade, they are not going to change, shops do not need the hassle of trying to stop them coming through their doors, they also need the business, a bit of a "catch 22".

Haha this is what I mean. You can’t extrapolate your method of thinking or your tiny real world experience to the whole of society. Personally I’ve asked scores of non mask wearers to put on a mask at vaccine clinic when they don’t have one on, and only one has ever kicked off about it. 
 

I personally think a bit of loose fitting dirty tat over your face will do v little to stop the spread, but much like thanking other drivers when they let you go, just be a good human and do it you scumbags!!!!

I may be in the minority here but I stopped going to games a while ago, don’t really like occasion drunken yobs that go and tbh can easily watch every game one way or another. So behind close doors isn’t really a problem for me but can understand for others it’s their big thing to do on a Saturday.

Whether you attend in person or not, I think the clubs and tv companies quickly realised the spectacle of football without fans is a poor substitute.

Honestly I don’t even think about it, sounds weird I’m sure but I just get engrossed with the game regardless
