Haha true, but when Cottee joined I was in primary school - whereas when Phillips joined I was a grown man! 

 

I think 32 felt a lot older in the 1990s. Players didn't go on as long, and Cottee had been farmed out to a Malaysian retirement league before joining us.

Based purely on Pre Season, it appears the manager likes his wide players to be really high like Salah/Mane. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't rate McAteer's ability to beat a man with the ball at his feet.
