Really??? How is Leicestershire an odd place, yea there are some not so desirable places to live in the city/county but there are also some great towns and villages!

Just can't get behind a population that generally struggles yet votes the way it does. Not alone of course, but an odd population. I'll leave it there as I don't want to derail and make this about politics.

I live up north and the people are nicer. Less toxic. I've no reason to be biased, I'm just speaking from my experience.

Might be worth finding a new club to support?

As far as I can see, we have a fan base that stuck with the club to the depths, suffered disappointment after disappointment and deserved every bit of the success we’ve had.

I can support a football club while disliking its fanbase, thank you very much. A football club is something that becomes part of your identity.

These things don't happen in a vacuum though. The current UK is fertile ground for goat-turd brains to grow.

But the pandemic didn’t breed the turd brains their parents did and they should believe in euthanasia

Our recent success couldn't have happened to a more undeserving bunch. Leicestershire is an odd place and I couldn't be happier that I moved out the moment I had the choice.

You don’t say where you live, must be embarrassing…🤔

😂😂 Huge trade? Funniest thing I’ve ever heard. If I can get a ticket for a member of my family or mate. If I decide not to go and someone wants they can have. I know  they not a bellend…Stop moaning Liverpool tickets  still on sale. Go get a point….😂

The members ballot is the biggest joke…

Erm, not quite sure what your point is but just to clarify I wasn't moaning about anything. I was simply making conversation. I'm not going to Liverpool as I've been already this season and have had two very expensive trips to Europe to cover. All the best 👍

Sure. I don't know this guy and what failings he's experienced in life to so turdify his brain. But it seems to be getting worse, other people have said similar.

I'm not sure how you can accuse others of being toxic?

In the 80s we had years of politicians saying these people aren’t supporters of their clubs while not much happened about it. It couldn’t be further from the truth. I knew die hard lads, fans, City through and through, no denying it. They’d travel everywhere watching us, get pissed and fight. It wasn’t until they got serious about facing the problem head on that and acknowledging the issues that the problem got sorted. And has much as people hate them sky played a big part in rebranding the game and helping to move it away from the years of violence and into the modern era. While there is still incidents, it will never get like it used to, there isn’t generally the intent for it from enough people and the police are far more adept at combating and adapting to problems.

I’ve never been involved in football violence, but I get it’s pretty much always been part of the game.

I recognise that I’m partaking in a passion and a past time that is firmly grounded in the roots of the local, working-class Leicester community (as it is in every other city up and down the country). As a result of that it’s not always going to be a picture postcard day at the theatre.

There’s going to be tribalism, vitriol and a release for people who work hard and spend their money down the football.

But you read people on here going on like it’s not as civil as an afternoon at the cinema and not realising that, in reality, they’re the imposters on the game rather than the groups they lambast.

I know it's a small majority but we haven't covered ourselfs in any glory today.

Smashing up a resurant/pub in town.

Chants about Clough being dead all day (classless and a bit bizarre he was an old man when he died! )

And a fan running onto the pitch to attack the forest players.

Don’t worry pal I’ve had a word with the nursing home and the carers have promised to keep an eye on them next time

Absolute drivel! Those idiots lobbing furniture at a pub without any football fans is tribal? Boll0x! It's hooliganism fueled more than likely by drink and drugs. Nothing it do with football!

Without any football fans? Where on earth has that myth come from?

If there's anyone that's good at setting up gofundme pages, any chance you can take 5 minutes of your time setting one up for the bar that was smashed up and having it pinned on the forum?

Putting everything I've seen on the pitch to one side (I was there) it's utterly shameful what's happened today and I hope there are plenty of us out there decent enough to do something to put it right.

A GoFundMe page… lol

There was a buzz about going to games in the past, that added an edge, an electricity to the atmosphere, and that’s brought about by the tribalism. That buzz is sadly missing all too often now, if only it could be recreated more without it spilling over into violence.

But I'm not part of the community am I? I am literally hours away from it. I associate with the history of the club, with its ownership, with our long-term players. I associate with the memories the club has given me, the special moments form a bond.

But the fans? I've always found them to be an odd bunch, through the good times and bad. I don't need to love the fans to follow the club.

I mean, imagine being a Millwall fan. A mate of mine does and absolutely hates their fanbase. Maybe you'll understand that one.
