You can't generalise but I will anyway! Note this is about supporters not the clubs themselves.

Like:

West Brom - seem a friendly and down to earth lot

Norwich - get grief for being overly friendly happy clappers but being nice doesn't make you not passionate and I think they're good fans. Their rivals Ipswich are OK too.

Derby - not a fan of the club but have always liked the Derby fans I met

Newcastle - as an overall fan base they seem entitled and deluded but as individuals they are pretty sound IMO

Dislike:

Birmingham City - seem to be entirely made of hostile knuckle draggers

Portsmouth - similar to above

Spurs - so tribal. Most Spurs fans seem to judge you entirely on the team you support, no matter what the circumstance and can't get over it

Celtic / Rangers - don't think this really needs explaining...

Interested what others think?

Birmingham City

Great shout. Really grind my gears for some reason.

Stoke City - they’ve got a hell of a lot to say considering they come from Stoke on Trent.

Aston Villa - nobody likes Villa or their fans

Man United - obvious. Some of the actual Mancs are okay but generally just a set of arseholes, especially the ones from Leicester.

Cov - scum, just absolute scum of the highest order.

Boro - just a very odd bunch. Especially when playing Yorkshire teams.

MK Dons - would happily see them wound up tomorrow without a second thought.

Like

Barnsley - loyal as the day is long and passionate.

Huddersfield Town - see above. Good club and good fans.

Blackburn - see above.

Charlton - similar to the above. But also great ground which is nothing to do with the fans but I like them.

Luton Town - just proper English football aren’t they, great ground, usually always pretty much full. Fair play to them.

Preston NE - just old fashioned class.

Ah man yeah cracking shouts!! Totally forgot Barnsley and Blackburn as good fan bases. Stoke are generally quite an aggy lot but as my grandad supported them will let them off.

Hate Chelsea. Everything about them. I just want them to feck off haha

Love Everton. They are so toxic its unreal and I love to see it

I have liked Derby when they've been down here. Always noisy and behind them even though we've pasted them a few times

I would like to add Hull City to my dislike list. I don’t necessarily think they’re a bad set of fans, but anyone who can sing that mauled by the tigers chant, even if it is sarcastic/ironic (not sure, cleverer people than me can correct me), deserve to go on it.

Where do you stand on Sheff United fans? I’ve always found them to be the slightly more arrogant/elitist of the two sets of Sheff fans, but I quite like it about them.

Watched Port Vale today. Their fans were very decent considering the level they’re at. Wasn’t expecting it from them.

Rivals aside, there’s good and bad in all of course but

dislike:

Villa

Wolves

Sheffield Wednesday

Leeds

Just any clubs who’s fans have delusions of grandeur, those are some that come to mind.

Not sure if there's any I particularly like tbh. Probably anyone who supports a club outside of the championship.

They are really easy to whined up. In comparison to Wednesday they just seem a little up tight.

Upsetting the elderly and scaring women and children lobbing blue ( eh? Why? ) flares round at Leeds train station yesterday.

There’s a time for the singing and shouting and swearing but it’s probably better expressed in other ways than confronting and threatening staff and upsetting women and children at a train station before midday.

I’m confused as to why they’d be in Leeds as they played Barnsley at home. Unless there was a group from another part of the UK passing through to get to Bramall Lane. If so it’s odd for a breakaway group to be acting like that without a larger group with them. Very strange behaviour.

@The People's Herowere you in Leeds for the weekend?

I just assumed that there are some sheff Utd fans who live in Leeds. This was quite a large group.

My mate is a big barnsley fan and I was rooting for them yesterday but they got beaten 2 nil.

I was in Leeds for an insurance event mate. Ridiculous train journey up and back. Spent an absolute fortune.

We were in the royal armouries/dock area. Really nice. I didn’t explore much more of the city.

apologies- not sure how I quoted the wrong post but it’s done now. There is and can be no going back. Destiny.

Rangers- of course loyal to the union flag and respectful towards the English most of the time.

Sheffield United- Seem very passionate and working class.

Sunderland- Feel sorry for them in recent time, had a lot of bad luck of late and forever living in Newcastle's shadow. Always take a lot home and away no matter what league.

Burton Albion- Admire how they've rose from non league to the football league. It's the same supporters who lived through that journey. Difficult  attachment area as well to attract fans.

Burnley- Very loyal and working class. Nearly the whole town comes out to support them in which is a very small town.

Man City- Despite the money and greed, everytime I've come across Man City fan they always seem to be very friendly. To their credit they have had to live nearly 100 of years behind Man Utd's shadow who can begrudge them of this.

Dislikes-

Millwall- Only seem to be out to cause trouble and fights, nasty fans.

Liverpool- Like the other top six clubs hate how people from 100 or 1,000 miles away support them, even though there's more local clubs nearer to support. Make out their the noisest but honestly when I've been to Anfield, they'lll sing "YNWA" out loud and proud at the start... go 0-1 down and remain quiet! overrateed.

West Ham- Press darling's... and annoying

Birmingham- Constantly live on a chip their shoulder, sing more about their hatred for the Villa than cheering on their own team! Just live for one game... tinpot.

Cov- When there struggling their fans dissapear and no where to be seen... win a few games they come out of the woodwork.

Celtic- Anti english, racists

Chelsea- Racists, bigheaded.

I know it isn't the ideal thread for this, because i am not saying i like or dislike their fan base, however....

I really like how Crystal Palace have created their own 'Ultras' section which really does add to their atmosphere. Not just the fans contribution, but how the club help improve said atmosphere by trusting and allowing that section of supporters to do what they do regarding bringing in flags and banners.

It's not amazing, i don't think any English club could replicate European Ultras as such, however they give it the best go. Have been to the stadium before, and watched them a few times on the television and that section of support really does boost their overall atmosphere.

Just a personal opinion. Shame our club are the opposite and can't do enough to lessen any atmosphere or passion.

The only good fan is a leicester fan, all other fan bases should have their seed wiped from the face of the earth. Except Forest fans who should be forced to admit they really are salty about us and do care before the above!

May have been Sunderland en route to Lincoln?

Nice area. Always thought they could do with putting a nice bar down there and they have and it’s capped it off.

Generally Dislike:

Both old firms - same boring discussions

Stoke - angry knuckledraggers

Millwall - docked 50 IQ points at birth

Coventry - inbred weirdos

Birmingham - Bitter

I don’t mind Cardiff, Brentford and controversially, Liverpool and Leeds
