so how do we avoid getting bullied in this game?

I think both team maybe a little distracted and we may see a tame game.

They have a FA cup semi to think about and we have the PSV games.

Reckon they will outwork and outmuscle us. We don't like be pressed at all and they were on Arsenal everytime they had the ball last night. Suppose we've got bigger fish to fry with how the seasons gone

it just struck me how athletic, strong and hungry palace looked last night..Arsenal did not have a bad game. Palace just look a different beast these days

With the same amount of points as us having played 2 games more.

Hardly world beaters.

I thought the same. Hopefully Brendan will have taken notice

we love to let palace sides turn us over at home, think this will be difficult but as said us and them have other important games in hand. interested to see how we line up for this.

Can we just take a moment to respect a team that had about 15 players out of contract last summer and a squad with an average of about 100 and they've shrewdly gone about their business with a solid rebuild.

Guehi, Andersson, Olise and Gallagher have all been phenomenal.

Absolutely. I had them as one of my picks to go down. Just thought the rebuild job would be too big for someone with Vieira's lack of experience

Meh. :dunno:

Palace is a formality between two nailed on mid-table sides. Not much to get excited about IMO.

Hard to care about the league whilst we've got it all to play for in Europe.

Imagine our squad if we'd got Guehi, Olise and Gallagher last summer instead of Vesty,  Lookman and Soumaré....

“bullied" behave mate, these boys stood up to one of the most hostile atmospheres I've seen and came out the other side in rennes.

We also came through a Tuesday night at turf Moor with a clean sheet and all 3 points.

And all of that was in the last month.

We may have had a soft underbelly earlier on in the season but it's a thing of the past now.

Arsenal did not have a bad game?

They were shocking, especially first half. Players were giving the ball away constantly.

Palace are a very impressive attacking force and when Zaha concentrates on playing instead of being a cheating tw@t he is a real star. I wasn't impressed with Arsenal , I think  they have flattered this season and I expect them to drop away (as usual we played them at the wrong time:dry:)

Be interest to see how they do, if Gallagher goes back to Chelsea in the summer, as well as he overall performance his also their second highest scorer.

Would love to know who was behind the summer rebuild whether it was Vieira or Dougie Freedman who is their Sporting director.

As you say very impressive.

I would say Vieira considering Freedman has been in that role for the past 5 years.

Vieira has got rid of so many aging players and completely brought their average age down. Also the signings from Chelsea have been great.

Gallagher might be worth a bid as I can't see Chelsea sticking with him.

Vieira, at this rate, might be a good shout for replacing Rodgers when the time comes. He's impressed me. Compare and contrast with Lampard who some on here would have replaced Rodgers with *shudders*

He's only been SP since December 2019.

That was set in  by the club motion way before PV rocked up as they choose not to offer contract to likes of Danns, Cahill, Hennessey, Sahko, Townsend, Van Aanholt etc.

Whoever was becoming Palace manager was going to have to rebuild, on that basis not taking anything away from him.

I would love to see us go in for him if YT goes.

Easy to forget everyone was saying Lampard had done a good job in his first year at Chelsea dealing with a transfer ban and integrating youngsters.

Lets see how PV does in year two. He's first year a Nice was pretty good, but year two saw him sacked.
