I find it a cringy singing about a football ground - not even that it’s those twonks just always seems strange to me - blowing bubbles is another god damn awful song and Delilah has no reliance either. Marching all together is sung awfully by that racist rabble as well

Did you ever go stoke when it was packed? I nearly shit myself when I heard them sing Delilah. So loud.

Local Hero is quite good to be honest, maybe I just associate it with being young and watching MOTD when Newcastle would often be first on and the teams would come up over a shot of them running out to that.

Best tune might be Liquidator.

It may be a bit but frowned upon now but swing low sweet chariot is one I quite like from the rugby

Also, Porto’s goal music from when we played them 😂

I knew the bloke that started swing low at rugby, PC, brilliant guy, sadly missed, used to blag his way for free into corporate at tigers and England games. But on a rugby note, this has to be the best ever, sends a tingle down my spine and I hate the taffs. No fancy PA systems then either.

I mean obviously if we're doing countries then it's no contest.

We might be shit at football but we're global champions at singing there's no real contest.

Yes - I was less impressed - No relevance to them - I suppose it highlights you've got a load of drunken Stokies behind their team but I always found it irrelevant and self indulgent

Oh and i absolutely despise YNWA. I dont even have a proper reason. Just everytime i see Liverpool fans sing it it makes me cringe.

Its not like i have anything against Liverpool either. I actually have no idea why i hate it so much lol

You are probably not going top like this then (if you havent seen it yet)

I am totally jealous of the take up of that song. :)

Did anyone else on here watch the Sunderland 'til I die documentary on Netflix? I sometimes wonder if this guy now has a job at the King Power lol

Sunshine on Leith following the Scottish Cup Final a few years ago was brilliant, one of the best things I've seen in a football stadium. Was great on TV, imagine being there was pretty emotional for those Hibs fans.

I like 'Local Hero' though I wish they'd play the version on 'Dire Straits Live' rather than the current one. Newcastle have the finest song in Britain in 'The Blaydon Races' - I know other teams do it, but they don't sound like Newcastle fans. So, all in all, I would take Newcastle.

'YNWA' used to be alright when Liverpool fans could sing, unfortunately that particular habit has deserted them.

And what on earth is a dustman's hat? Or a Welshman's hat? Neither of these type of people have anything to do with hats

Loath Marching on Together.

Realise the Hibs song in a way but not a football song and not jealous.

Blowing bubbles always seems a bit err naff and childish to me - sorry hammers.

Never walk alone though - have to say it, goosebumps on the right occasion if you've ever witnessed it. That gets my envy vote. Fair play Liverpool.

I wish we had our own anthem to belt out, but i wouldn't say I'm jealous of any of the other clubs and their songs.   I have to say though, that I love the Sunshine On Leith song that Hibs sing. Equally I can't stand ynwa, but maybe that's as much to do with the Liverpool fans as the song. lol

I can’t stand over the top maudlin slow emotional ballads at sports games.

”Glad All Over” by Palace is definitely on top of the list for me.

I like “The Liquidator,” although it’s played out. I can’t stand Chelsea, but they get the edge over West Brom because they play the Madness version of “One Step Beyond” after wins, which is a decent 1-2 punch of match day music.

As a wild card, I like Southampton playing the Skids’ version (the correct version, not that Green Day/U2 stuff) of “The Saints are Coming” for their entrance song, and their fans have the most right out of anyone to sing anything to the tune of “When the Saints Go Marching In.”

Bristol Rovers sing 'goodnight Irene'. No idea why but I remember them belting it out when we last went down there.

Most of these anthems are encouraged by their clubs by playing over the PA. Shame that ours don't help.

Tbf they tried but everyone complained that Jersey Bud was shit. Which it is really isn't it, people only have some affection for it now because a club we were playing generously stuck it on for our travelling support.

Unfortunately it's the only version that can be sung like an anthem particularly easily.

Our best bet would be to just yell it on mass like a chant and not try and make it all that musical at all.

Isn't that how it's done now? Chanted at 100mph. I think opinions on the Jersey Budd version may have changed. I never thought it was shit and always hoped it could resurface as our anthem. Not the same as how it was sung in the olden days but a modern take on it and evidence has proven it can be done. I think it's the right time for the club to give it another go.
