I would keep Barnes a long way from our defence…only if he is close,or at that moment in a clinch,competing for the ball. He is the one I would have,staying permantly up field,not any further back than tip of the circle,picking up loose ball,or being the immediate get out for the defence… Or we have him,playing a Gullit type role,covering the top half of the field,across all channels…

Thomas was left with 2 on him and no help at all. It was awful to watch.
