The goalkeeper could be better but they scored because were giving them free rein to shoot

Gonna be another long season. Can't get up the pitch. Can't create chances. I'll be genuinely amazed if we score more than 10-12 goals this season.

We just have nothing up top.

its 45 mins in and I'm sick of seeing Flint not chasing a pass that's close enough to at least put the defender under pressure to force a mistake

another long range goal, we needed a new keeper all ours are far too small and we needed a proper striker, Flint isn't good enough

...doesn't hold the ball up, poor first touch has no pace and does not close down, she really is a passenger!!!

What does she bring to the side, doesn't hold it up, no pace and lack of work rate.

Sigsworth, Cain and Paul can't come back quick enough

She's not the most agile player it's true but she can be a bit canny. An experienced and wise head in our game.

Spurs are clearly the more technically adept side, player for player, but what we lack in talent we make up for in spirit and energy. We'll cause problems for many teams if we continue to play like this.

A lot more competitive but can’t see how anything from last season changes.

Basically the same keeper and defence who leaked all the goals last season and absolutely nothing upfront.

Green & Whelan look decent additions, Jones was tidy but there’s absolutely no pace and still nobody who looks particularly comfortable with the ball at their feet.

Shame we dont have a Birmingham in the WSL this season, because i dont see any way our girls are going to stay up without one.  They just wont score anywhere near enough goals.  It was just like watching a rerun of their games last season sadly.

First time I've watched them and that was much better than I was expecting, just didn't have enough up front.

I thought the introduction of O'Brien in the second half made a huge difference.

the way I see it they are 2 players from progressing problem is they are 2 of the most important, a proper secure keeper and a reliable 9

Women's game will never be like the mens game for so many reasons. I wouldn't watch it if you paid me, its like watching my daughter playing pinball wizard where you have no idea who the ball falls to.

she's not that experienced and never looks like actually scoring, she was great getting promoted but clearly lacks quality in WSL

Agreed. And it won't be easy. With Birmingham gone simply not finishing bottom is going to be a massive challenge. I agree about Bedford though, she looks like she might be the real deal as a coach, so fingers crossed...

Really looking forward to the season tbh!

Okay, I might have been over-optimistic. That was exactly like all of last season; look promising enough but then just - well, lose.

Up to you, but football is football, it's all the same game, whether it's Premier League, Women's Championship, Conference, pub team, under-12s or some six-year olds playing their first ever 4-a-side. And I've seen some technically awful kids grassroots matches that I've enjoyed far more than some PL ones. Shame you feel the way you do, you're missing out.
