Good point - it could be a big challenge for Rodgers. i think fans have a part to play - if he does stay, we have to move on and not isolate/boo him - and then hope the coaching team and colleagues can get him back to enjoying his time here.

**** that. He's getting the biggest BOOOO from me if he plays for us or Chelsea. Needs to learn he can't continue to disrespect the club that employs him.

Part of me wants to boo him too when he does play, but what scares me is ending up in a situation like crystal palace had. Although I can't recall the player 🙈

I'm taking a sign.

'Wesley. I don't want your shirt'

Change it to

'If you don't want the shirt Wesley, then i don't want it either'

Booing makes everything worse. It really does.

Brendan is calling this right in fairness to him. Just a shame he's forgotten how to do pretty much every other aspect of his job well.

Think this shows how poorly Wes is behaving

Its quite an astonishing admission. I'm a little unsure if true why you would want to even admit it at this stage. You are effectively admitting he has a huge temperament issue, but you still want a record fee for him.  Really not sure whats happening here?

Does Rodgers just not care at all at this point?

Sounds like bridges are burnt, just profit maximisation now. Remember, unlike us, Chelsea is his dream.

Sure he would never perform such a trick to a move to Barcelona, or Real Madrid or even Marseille (true boyhood club)

Of all the things BR is mesing up, he is handling this as well as possible to be fair.

I would suggest that his lawyers are getting their ducks in a row to make sure he gets the maximum pay-off possible. Just a precaution mind you.

Needs to play against Chelsea, it's a win win. If he's superb, they'll probably cough up the asking price. If he's crap and we get absolutely stuffed, Rodgers is a bit nearer the exit!

I know it's mainly media talk, but things seems to be slowly spinning up on Chelsea going in for Maguire if Fofana deal falls through, I think we could be on thin ice here if we arent careful. We need CBs as it is, so the money from Fofana is probably needed, if we go into this season and Evans gets injured we are up the creek. Then add the fact we have Fofana playing for us who has disrespected the club, doesnt want to be here and the fans seemingly now don't want him here.

In our current financial situation, with the desperate need to improve the defence NOW, we need to not be too greedy and take the money.
On one hand, theres a strong argument that Fofana is worth 80m to us, but is not yet an 80m defender, on the other hand, given the current situation, I'd argue 70-75m now, is more important than holding out for 80-85m next week and then having no time to buy a replacement that is actually going to help us.

Take the 70-75m, put add ons for appearances and sign 2 cbs. We really could end up losing out here if we are not careful.

Annoyingly I've just posted the polar opposite to you, but I somewhat agree with your logic lol

Not sure what else people expect him to say.  lol

This lad was still in ****ing junior school when I was relegated to League 1.

I’ve been places. I’ve seen things the human eye shouldn’t have to (like the shîtters in Hereford’s away end).

If he can’t “get himself up” to play for me now I’m a well-established premier league team, then I’ll boo the cûnt all day long.

Why is admitting Wes has a temperament issue handling the issue well? Surely just saying he's training with the U23's until the matter is resolved is good enough. We are now in a situation where our fan base think he is a ***t based on info given by Brendan in interviews. If Fofana was to stay, which is still very possible, then how does the lad get reintegrated with the majority of our fanbase hating him.

We don't know the full facts and we don't know how anyone is really behaving. Snippets like this just make the situation worse. Sometimes its just best to keep your mouth shut?

🤣 just read it. See exactly where you're coming from. Perhaps we're both right in different ways 😁

Probably is a prime example of how precarious this situation is, it could go either way really, so many things could go wrong, it's just guessing which bit goes wrong lol

The only make it worse if you believe this is the extent of information available within the club, it cannot be so, there will be all sorts of conversations amongst work colleagues, between workers and bosses, other staff - why are people so rapid to draw conclusions?

We are on the outside, what we think, what conclusions we draw is small potatoes really as it based on incomplete information, as it must be.

Yes he is a dick, but we need to stop looking for every fault line, otherwise we will just find them and get more bent out of shape
