We currently haven't got any heating in this house we're renovating. The old boiler is disconnected and all the old radiators have been skipped.

Waiting on our plumbing/heating bloke to order/install new ones but ideally we need all rooms replastered and painted first which we've only just started.

Jumpers and blankets for us all whether we like it or not.

You’re approaching the time of year where the plaster will struggle to dry quickly without some other heat

And I put my heating on every month for a bit. Keep the working parts moving

As per the rather obvious advice put forward in that article, I once suggested to my daughter that she could put on a pullover instead of turning the heating up.

One of the bravest things I ever did.

It's scary, but some people need that obvious advice lol

one of the best and most middle aged things i've ever bought is a heated blanket to put under the bedsheet.  I'd never go back now! lol.

We have heated blankets in the house as well... saves heating the entire house when you are sat in the lounge binge watching crap on the tv.

We like to eat al fresco so our 3 patio heaters are on full blast from October to May.

And the cat likes being outside in the warmth.

One of the things I like about going to bed is the cold sheet feeling gradually warming up with my breath as I cover my head with the quilt and slowly falling asleep.

Cosy.

She's old and thin so would only burn for a 30 second flameout.

And we've just spent £750 on dental treatment so I'd quite like some return.
