I feel for him, as soon as I saw what happened I knew what the response would be. I think in 5 or 10 years we will look back at the slagging off of Maguire as something that went way too far.

Regarding Maguire, yes he's unlucky but his reaction is wrong when the ball is coming to him. Top defenders would let the ball pass by or just slightly hit them. It's not only about instinct, it's about skill. He forced a big deflection which is in general avoidable for CBs with a high IQ.

Pretty funny watching the in studio commentators on sky sports news, last round the bloke was saying it will be man utd v arsenal in the final....and last night at 2-0 man utd were going win the cup.  The bias towards premier league teams is amusing.
