Went for the first time in a while today. I expected it to be half arsed but I couldn’t quite believe it by the end. The most we got out the ground in unison was naff, rent-a-chant songs about Steven Gerrard that were out of date ten years ago. Senseless, robotic clapping of players who haven’t looked like they want to fight for the badge, even once this season. Folk celebrating Barnes scoring against Newcastle was nauseating, performative hogwash, indicative of the fanbase as a whole. Got an array of hard stares and tuts when I joined in anti-board/Rudkin chants.

I think it optimised that long running thing we’ve talked about where most folk just go because it’s routine. I’m trying hard not to be hyperbolic, but I genuinely believe a large majority of the home match going fan base don’t actually have an opinion about what goes on at the club. It’s the equivalent of a desk job.

I looked around today and just thought, it’s dead, isn’t it? Where do you go from here?

A mate asked me why I was so miffed by fans clapping players and it boils down to the total lack of standards at the football club that is so infuriating. Seemingly anything goes at both board and pitch level, and we’ll happily pay to congratulate those in charge for it. Those with the power are NOT serious people, let alone football people.

Fair play to @ozvaldo and again the folks at UFS today.

So, so depressing and it seemingly won’t end. It’s dead, stick a fork in it.

Pretty much nailed it right there.

I'd love to know what these vegetables do in real life.

Where do they live? What do their houses and gardens look like? What do they (or did they) do for work? What do they do away from football? When did they last have a shag?

A lot of the applause (at least from the main stand) was for the effort most players put in today to come close to a point against the leaders and champions-elect.

It wasn't like Filbert Street in 2002 when confirmation of relegation was greeted with a standing ovation from all sides of the ground!

It’s a shame they didn’t bother putting in that effort for the last four/five months! If they had then we’d have more than 18pts on the board, and be less than 18pts behind 17th.

No doubt it’s been better the past couple of games, but too little too late

We were surrounded by new faces today. Clearly season ticket holders had sold their seats for today.

It was staggering to see so many new faces and the usual 75-average age usuals clapping and waving the players off. I had people around me dancing and laughing and saying “oooooh yeah, thought we played really well”.  I hate it.

I’ve renewed my ticket for next year, but only so I can take my young son.  My love for it has gone. Hopefully my lad will get something out of it.

I only went to see the plane in person!

Closet scousers I suspect

Loads of different faces and half and half scarves. Loads of empty seats too against the best team in the league. Near silence for 30 minutes when the singing section didn't strike anything up.

I remember the widespread anger towards the Gang of Four. What King Power are doing blows that out of the water…and yet, there’s barely any sign of anger at all.

I just don’t get it.

Middle class fanbase that buy seasons tickets to provide a 'talking point' and to make a day of the Saturday morning shopping. They don't even care about football, let alone the club.

Going to watch my hometown non league team next season, it isn’t just the EPL, VAR and dull matches, it’s the other stuff like scrapping replays in the cup, they just keep chipping away at things that made the game exciting.

I can’t sit with KPFC fans, because I know I’d end up speaking my mind and getting into bother.

I think the game and the people that follow it has changed beyond all comprehension.

I don't think it can be saved at this level personally.

Good luck to anyone who thinks they can genuinely make change to British football and British football support.

This is what you get when you have 23000 season ticket holders who have had them from the year dot and are too scared to give them up.Then you put match day tickets for sale at silly prices.Of course its going to go stale! As a buisness, you'd think Top would know this! And i'm just a pleb from Newfound pool!

Apologies if this was posted about before, but I hope those in the stadium felt privileged to have seen the champions elect? What world do these hacks live on?

One of the few positives about our fans this season is them not just relentlessly turning up and selling out for the big 6 just because it's big 6. Point of it in the past has always been the chance to see Leicester actually beat them, and the novelty of seeing us against a big club. Both of which have worn off and then some.

We won't send a message to the clueless morons in charge until we stop turning up for them type of games.

Sorry, I took the scenic route to avoid the "matchday experience" and didn't make it until the 8th minute. So sorry I disrespected the CHAMPIONS ELECT in the act of going to watch my club and nobody else.

Still remember Soljskaer being asked, whilst Man Utd manager, who he wanted to win in the title race between Man City and Liverpool. His response of "couldn't care less" and walking away seemed apt to this occasion. Screams US sports and "the product".

The meek, passive response to yet another historically embarrassing season really is the most painful part about it for me. I'd find this so much more bearable if I felt there were real forces for change coming from it, but it's very much a minority of people that are leading anything and the numbers are so small that what truly can you actually achieve?

I've wanted Aiyawatt gone for a long time. The main reason is not even necessarily because of his level of ineptness, of which is absolutely unquestionable at this point in my eyes, but because for some reason, he is held to absolutely no account. He's not held to any sort of standard or expectation. He's allowed to do as he pleases.

Maybe those images doing the rounds are what wakes some people up, but how many times have I said that before? I genuinely just don't think there is a jot of passion, drive or ambition in this fanbase. They've had their fun, but they're happy to gatekeep it from anybody else.

The vast majority just do not care. There is no force for good.

Fair play to UFS today for choosing times to keep it quiet really highlighted the void.

I have to say that by Liverpool was one of the worst ends you could combine given their situation. Cruising to the league title, bank holiday Sunday in decent weather, 3k allocation and so so so quiet.

I’ve been careful to be part of the England football is dead. But it’s dead ro what we remember it

It is shit. There are very, very few fanbases who are as good as they were even 10 years ago. Even the likes of Leeds and Man Utd's ends here have been pretty underwhelming in recent years. Everton proved in 2022 that it isn't an acoustics thing - it's that people aren't actually making noise.

Football really does need a shake up. I suggest we open the conference league up to every single top tier team in Europe and make it a round robin.
