Popped into Morrisons on the way down pre-match last night and noticed the Counting House boarded up. When did that close?

Been closed a few while; permanently as well.

I’ve wanted to have this rant for ages but also didn’t want to slate the only group trying to create an atmosphere. Don’t get me wrong here, I fully get behind union FS and what they’re trying to do and I think it’s great. But **** me, they don’t half go about it in a stupid way don’t they. Why do they keep the same chant going for literally 5+ minutes sometimes even when it gets to the point where it’s only 20 odd of them singing alone?? For christ sake they had the “leicester city the boys in blue” chant going for 4 straight minutes at the start of the game, why do they keep going when all of G1/SK1 has stopped singing after the first 30 seconds of it. Then they seem to act surprised or even pissed off when other people try to start a chant as if they’re the only ones allowed to do it. Like I said I fully get behind them trying to help the atmosphere and I do sing with them but it’s so stupid keeping “leicester boys are we” which isn’t even a great chant anyway going for 3-4 minutes straight

You know a football match lasts a whole 90 minutes, right?

You are entirely able to express an opinion but this part here of your comment is completely wayward.

So the problem here isn't that G1/SK1 only has the ability to sing a song for 30 seconds?

Nice

Think I definitely expressed my point poorly lol, defo reading back it comes like I’m having a massive go when really I support those lads massively and always try and sit around them when I attend home games. I think what I’m trying to say is I think it would be better if it was more like it is in an away end with different chants bouncing around every 20-30s compared to leicester boys are we for 4 minutes which just ends up with less and less people singing it over time. But ultimately it is a very different demographic at home so I’m not sure even if they did change it would have a good affect

I can say unequivocally that your first point isn't correct. You might not notice it from where you are but that doesn't mean it's right. Lad on the drum and those closest to him actively listen out for the odd time there something coming from other areas, and make a call on whether to swap to that or not depending on what's happening and how loud the song external to the section is being sung compared to what we're doing.

In answer to your other point, it's usually because firstly, the lads have made a call that whatever we're singing, we're getting no backup from other areas of the ground, probably because we're losing or because there's nothing happening or the hundreds of other reasons that get rolled out. Secondly, it's easy to keep the same thing going for a couple of minutes, so that if something happens on the pitch and the other areas pipe up, there's a song already going that they can immediately latch on to, rather than something new having to be started.

Yeah I’ve been meaning to sit right near the front for ages to see what really goes down and it’s good to hear it isn’t what I thought as it does sometimes feel like they’re trying to be the only ones dictating the atmosphere from the outside lol

What’s with all this 'come on the Leicester' by the stadium announcer?

Because he wants to sound like a radio DJ, innit bro.

Did any of the players go over at the end?

Looked like the only ones you'd expect. The club is dead when you can't even get players to pretend to be arsed with a clap

Wonder if anyone who clapped them off tonight will come out and explain their reasoning for it. Doing more harm than Rudkin has.

Rock bottom away end tonight

People genuinely singing Millwall songs near where I was sat to try and wind the home fans up. Staggering levels of stupidity.
