Twice in the 1st half, Ward called for the ball ,as the cross came in.

1st one went for a corner, the 2nd ,which was an awful cross, got sliced into our own net.

Not doubt Kasper was near the end of his time with us, but he wouldn't have allowed that.

Had we got to half time at 1-0 , no doubt Liverpool would have been a different beast in the 2nd half , but we might have caused them problems at the other end as the clock ticked.

If there's no confidence in the keeper , then we are in massive trouble

If your apparently def centre backs choose to take things into their own hands I’m not sure what you can do! Absolutely atrocious decision making on both occasions by the men infront of Ward. You really can’t be throwing mud Ward’s way for the imbeciles infront of him tonight.

Angry, disappointed. Pleased with the effort and quality at times but gutted at our bad luck. Yet at times we gave the ball away cheaply and were short of quality up front.

Soumare had his best game since I can’t remember when, Nachos touch was shocking when he came on and Vardy is always more threatening than Daka

i want to see the same with a bit more quality up front against Fulham on Tuesday and we will win.

It's amazing how much we have dropped our standards in the space of a couple of years to consider that a "good performance". That's the Brendan effect.

The reality is, Liverpool were piss poor and on a normal day would have trounced us. Apart from the initial goal, we looked like we couldn't score in a brothel, again.

We were lucky, not good.

The reality is that we are a mid-table Premier League club, that had a miraculous story 7 years ago and won a cup in between.

We’ve had some good runs here and there, made the most of two of our three European tours, but our average position since getting promoted has been 8-12th

We simply don’t have the revenue to compete with the larger clubs.

Rodgers and the two trophies have dared us to dream, but the reality is that we’re not there.

At least today the lads put up a fight, made us proud, gave something to cheers, and only lost 2-1 to two own goals against a team that have spent 150m in the last 18 months on strikers

The chances of us finding another Vardy or keeping this one going are slim, we have to play to the advantages of the strikers we have. If nothing else we could try and score more than we concede at the moment!

Then We need to go to grass roots try find another Vardy there has to be one somewhere Leicester are superb at finding Gems Vardy was the benchmark of all benchmarks, we take chances on unknowns turn them into players worth £mmm’s we’ve done it once with Vardy I’m sure we can do it again !

Shit luck for Faes - the ***** who were booing him deserve to walk back to whatever cave they exist in. KDH was stand out our best lad - Wilf played well. Amartey just isn't good enough for first choice.

Vardy was his usual busy and intelligent self. Barnes needs to be more flexible - pass the ball rather than make half-hearted attempts to dribble. Timmy quiet tonight but Liverpool don't allow much time for defenders to get forward. Soumare not as bad as usual. Luke wasn't outplayed at all - he needs to concentrate on focusing all the time.

We did alright considering the Newcastle débâcle. Liverpool will always be a huge challenge at home. We weren't bad and neither were they. I quite enjoyed the game.

There was probably half a second, if that, from the time the shout arrived at Faes ear and the moment he kicked it. It was a high pressure situation with Salah lurking in the six yard box and a split second to make a decision when he was already going in to clear it.

Yes, there was a shout, but these things happen. It’s football.

Faes has been great since he joined, and the two OGS today were unfortunate but both may have gone in anyway - the first Salah might have nipped in, and the second would definitely be in the net if Wout wasn’t there

Well we're always going to hope to do that, but that is a long term goal, we have to work with what we have in the most efficient way we can for now. I don't believe that Nacho and Daka aren't good goal scorers, we've all seen them do it, but they've suffered from being asked to play like Vardy which is not what they are about.

We didn’t get a good hiding none of their players could score against us if not for those 2 comical own goals from faes who I feel for we would have won the game 0-1 we looked miles better than we did against Newcastle we are our own worst enemy at times, Rodgers is a good manager but sometimes his choice of players etc leave a bit to be desired, really hoping we can sort out a few players in January window there are a few worst teams than us gladly I’m sure we will survive the drop 🙏

Blue tinted spectacles.

Look back through the highlights. Both Salah and Nunez missed howlers than on most other nights, they’d have buried.

And we created very few opportunities in the second half when we needed a goal.

Try to be objective.

I agree it was a better overall performance than against Newcastle. But we were under pressure from the time that Faes used his 9 iron to pitch the ball over Ward’s head.

Liverpool will know they’ve not capitalised on upping their goal difference tonight.

That’s rubbish, Salah wasn’t anywhere near to getting on the end of the first OG. It was trickling straight into Ward’s arms, easy. It wasn’t just the ignoring of Ward’s call either, he’s actually got his foot to it quite comfortably (relatively speaking) on the stretch, why he’s trying to smash the leather off it I don’t know, he just needs a firm side foot out for a corner but has swung at it gung-ho and it’s spewed off his foot and bounced in.

The second, altho arguably looked more comical than the first, I actually have a bit more sympathy for him.

He and Amartey both need a clip around the ear in training, and told to listen to the keeper’s call going forward! It’s that simple. If the first doesn’t go in, it’s a different game.

I didn’t hear anyone booing. The Liverpool fans was taunting him though, telling him

to shoot.

It was end to end but we only had 7 shots and didn’t test the keeper once after our goal in the first few mins

Spot on. Didn’t test him once all game after the goal went in.

Those not a game ‘we were unfortunate to lose’.

So true we put so much faith in Vardy Daka needs game time definitely we can’t afford to send him on loan to get that we haven’t got the players to allow that, have we got a gem in the youth system we definitely need to strengthen in defence midfield wing and striking positions maybe a keeper too?

So long as we avoid the drop we can write this season of as a complete difference of our last few and forget it start again next august whether we rebuild again in the summer as well as a few in January maybe Top will see we need to sort out our old hairs and bring in the next generation of foxes and compete again for trophy’s Europe etc, who Knows of Top has a few Billionaires friends he can bring into the Leicester family to take us into the future who knows ??

I do wonder if calling isn’t a strength of  ward.  Both amartey and faes played balls in that were comfortably wards and I think he called for (well he defo did the second one). Defenders would usually be expecting a call from a keeper that is noisy and preparing not to play the ball. To me, it looked like this wasn’t happening and the default position was to play the cross, even though you’d expect a call to come. I’m thinking back to whether this has been evident in other games.

Col no blue tinted specs bids I saw the game they missed sitters chances yes but they didn’t score Faes had a mare unfortunately a game we should have won if not for his gifts to the scousers yes they were amazing against us but they failed to score could have been a different result if not for the comedy of errors !
