Why did Robertson not get booked for the exact same thing Soumare did?

Why are they given free hits on our right backs at Anfield?

Thomas got away with a couple before Robertson…. Soumare was a little while after to be fair

It's amazing how much we have dropped our standards in the space of a couple of years to consider that a "good performance". That's the Brendan effect.

The reality is, Liverpool were piss poor and on a normal day would have trounced us. Apart from the initial goal, we looked like we couldn't score in a brothel, again.

We were lucky, not good.

Thought we played quite well and a different level in every way to the Newcastle debacle. Soumare was good throughout and best I've seen Wilf in a long time. Least said about the two disastrous own goaks, the better. Typical Foxes.

Barnes was poor, so lacking in confidence. Other than him and Faes, thought the players did well. Was expecting a real humping.

Again, I thought we got a good hiding.
As soon as we conceded the first one, it was pretty much all one way traffic and Liverpool (uncharacteristically at the moment), missed quite a few sitters.

The score line doesn’t reflect the game imo.

I don’t know what the issue is over Pawson’s timekeeping either. We could have played on for ages tonight and not look like scoring.

It was better overall than Newcastle, but it couldn’t have been much worse.

I think we look a poor side at the moment. We’re not scoring enough and look wide open again with the Faes/Amartey combo.

Next game’s a big un imo

Aye indeed. Would be happy to see Iversen at least given a go.  I just don’t feel like Ward is quite good enough. It’s nothing more than that and not a witch hunt I just feel he falls slightly short of what we need.

Certainly don't think it helps him having mass panic in front of him, we saw how different it could be before the WC when we looked like we'd sorted it out. I think he's possibly not imposing enough a character either and probably far too nice.

It’s absolutely right to question Pawson’s timekeeping tonight, if not his integrity.

 But that’s a sideshow isn’t it?

PGMOL need to sort the wheat from the chaff we have the best football league in the world with the worst officials in the world, well  apart from some of those fifa World Cup officials that were just as bad !!

As good as the performance was, I think Van Dijk just hit the nail on the head in saying they were very poor tonight.

So frustrating that we fail to get the basics right and can't be stronger mentally.

Thomas and Amartey, while not necessarily to blame for defeat tonight, stick out for their poor distribution. Always feels like they don't get the tight passes right.

Barnes and Faes had terrible individual performances on the night.

We need a keeper the defenders can trust. Both Amartey and Faes between their actions and gesturing towards Ward proved tonight they don't trust him. You can't operate a functioning defence without the defenders trusting the goalkeeper. It simply doesn't work.

The positive news is that we got the hard bit right. We were brilliant in midfield and in patches played some really good football. I've been Brendan out for a while but tonight gave me faith that he knows what he's doing.

I'm hopeful that a few tweaks in personnel over January will set us on the right track. I wish we'd try someone different between the sticks, though.

Twice in the 1st half, Ward called for the ball ,as the cross came in.

1st one went for a corner, the 2nd ,which was an awful cross, got sliced into our own net.

Not doubt Kasper was near the end of his time with us, but he wouldn't have allowed that.

Had we got to half time at 1-0 , no doubt Liverpool would have been a different beast in the 2nd half , but we might have caused them problems at the other end as the clock ticked.

If there's no confidence in the keeper , then we are in massive trouble

Anyone else horrified at how bad Iheanacho has been in the two games he's come on since the restart? Absolutely atrocious, he bumbles his way about and is so out of sorts.

I know he's a confidence player and one who with momentum and the right system can be devastating and that's on Rodgers for the way he's treated him but my god he is an absolute liability in situations like this.

I thought we might get a result tonight and had a bet on 1-2. With a bit of belief and luck, could and maybe should have done it. After 60 years plus though I’m used to the lads finding ways to lose. That’s our Leicester.

Felt sick after that, we didn’t deserve to lose. We rarely get anything at Anfield, though today we gave the win to them more than being victims of a bad decision.

Performance was decent. I expected us to get battered when in reality we deserved at worst a point.

He’s absolutely stunk the place out both times he’s come on.

He also deserves much much better than the chances he’s been given by Rodgers.

Ahh yes let’s play another one of our strikers who are all equally as incapable as the other leading a Premier League line as a lone striker.

I don't think I'd play Nacho like that, his best games have been as part of a 2 striker up top approach IMO.

We didn’t get a good hiding none of their players could score against us if not for those 2 comical own goals from faes who I feel for we would have won the game 0-1 we looked miles better than we did against Newcastle we are our own worst enemy at times, Rodgers is a good manager but sometimes his choice of players etc leave a bit to be desired, really hoping we can sort out a few players in January window there are a few worst teams than us gladly I’m sure we will survive the drop 🙏

As you may be right. Nacho needs to play though imo. Which either means 352 or 442, neither of which I’m hugely keen on.

It was only a farce for the first few games until teams realised that time wasting was getting them nowhere.

I’d much rather see the honest timekeeping of the World Cup than the farce we get in the PL.

It was refreshing. ‘You want to waste 6 minutes rolling around, don’t worry, it’s your own time your taking’

The chances of us finding another Vardy or keeping this one going are slim, we have to play to the advantages of the strikers we have. If nothing else we could try and score more than we concede at the moment!
