Problem with that lofted ball to the full backs, and i think it might be a Rodgers thing as Schmeichel used to do it, is that unless it's perfect to the players feet they either have to flick it on or it goes out of play. And even when it is perfect the player is often under immediate pressure facing their own goal. It only really works when the full back is in acres of space, which is never when we choose to use it.
