This.

I don’t necessarily want them to sell, it’s a complicated business and there are much, much worse people (and I don’t just mean in a sporting sense) that could buy our football club.

But some of the deifying from our fanbases and totally unbalanced comments on this thread are well over the top. I’ve never understood worshipping companies or mega-rich CEOs, especially when the club has felt more like King Power FC and then Brendan Rodgers FC in recent years.

Our success was always more down to excellent management and shrewd recruitment and that’s backed up by the wage figures. But those days are gone.

For quite some time we’ve been regressing on the pitch and Top has failed to do anything about it. He’s doing an objectively terrible job right now. The club he owns is sinking and worst of all a lot of the fanbase doesn’t even care.

This is the key bit and highlights just how many let blind loyalty take over than rationality. Not just us, see it in any football fan set - remember when Derby fans were deifying Chris Kirchner around his mooted takeover. The man could do no wrong despite the reservations. (This was a comparison on fandom, not of Kirchner/Top, before anyone starts).

There's no denying to many of us that the "KPFC" element rings true and it leaves many of us feeling uncomfortable. The ownership has done an incredible amount of good to this club but they've made mistakes along the way, including the crumbling of our recruitment/marquee sale strategy over the last 5-6 years has left us in this meandering position.

The call of ownership change is frankly the inane ramblings of the modern football fan. Change the players, change the manager, change the owner. The day-to-day dealings Top has we just don't really know. Not only would a new owner probably be someone who is quite distasteful and/or leveraged buyout, it'll completely miss the point of the problem, because what we do know is that there should be a lot more done to act on the upper echelons of the operational staff who are dealing with the day-to-day operations which has led us to here.

Top (Vichai)/King Power taking all the praise for 102 points, the escape, the title win, UCL, FA Cup, Comm Shield and fifth place finishes means they are just as culpable for taking the flak for what is going on now - you can't shrug off the negativity and just have the positivity. We need more from them because we're just circling the drain at the minute.

So, so much negativity!

Our owners are fantastic.

Our business model actually works, and has worked

The new stadium will be nothing short of spectacular.

We have a good squad

The bottom line is we have to be beating Brentford at home, Southampton at home, Bournemouth away, Fulham at home, Blackburn at home and Southampton away.

If we'd have done this, we'd not be talking about those topics above. We'd have 14 more points, and still be in the cup.

I would usually say that this won’t happen because the se Asian mentality is to have people who are 100% trustworthy in senior positions.

I presume SW has indicated that she cannot oversee both sides of the club and that means rudders retains his place on the trust basis.

we just have to hope that somehow we stay up and that glover can unearth some gems for the new coach to play with - but I look around at the other coaches competing for 18th place and they’ll all do whatever it takes to get a point. Ours won’t.

That's precisely the issue - we're relying on somebody lower down to provide all the magic again. It's largely what got us successful in the first place but it's also the reason it was always likely to eventually come crashing down.

By all means it's not impossible that Glover smashes it too.

Susan Whelan is just as culpable as Rudkin.

Hiring managers for managers on the business side of things, filled the club with people who have been implementing stupid ideas such as the ticketing being all mobile, no tickets at the club shop, giving massive contracts to security firms to bring in all these extra stewards on a match day, no food and drink to be bought in at the start of the season. It goes on and on behind the scenes, its down to Susan that we've moved away from the family club ethos that has worked so well for the KP group.

These middle managers have been delegated so much of the operations she's practically here in name only now, she as much as Top have taken their attentions elsewhere and is shown over the last 18 months.

Your actually spot on all of the things you mention have made me lose a lot respect for the club and the owners , why the need for all the extra stewards i dont get it when was the last pitch invasion from the West Stand we have 5 stewards going up our steps mobile tickets utter chaos outside at cup matches wait till next season when its totally mobile ticket i do feel we are as fans are treated as idiots !

Pearson, Shakespeare, Walsh and the rest of their crew in coaching medical recruitment were knowledgeable about football. These old timers helped Top out.

Now they been replaced by guys straight out of University with Degrees who lack the down to earth banter type blokes that we had.

Also think that Susan and Rudkin didn't need to do much when those guys were here and with them gone they just left it to run by itself with Brendan taking full advantage.

I don't want him/them out but things need to change and quickly. It's not just the Rodgers situation, it's the whole club, the last few years off the pitch have been shocking. Every few weeks there seems to be another astonishing decision being taken which seems to be against the fans or against logic and we're expected to just keep happy clapping, turning up and paying our money without questioning it.

Those that don't think Top or KP can do anything wrong scare me, it sounds like regardless of what happens (even multiple relegations) people would still say he's doing a fantastic job and we want to be careful what we wish for.

...I  would say the majority on here wants them to stay!!!

It is a big call to make for top, at the stroke of a pen he will dismantle his father's legacy. He is betting on Rodgers keeping us up. Any other alternative risk him making a bad call and he can't afford to do that.

Macia, Idiakez and the previous coaches were a foundation to build on. Wrong advice was offered  and processes put in place which has failed to benefit the club. They had the right personnel , they just didn't know it.

We need someone who can revamp the academy, all the way through, and stages where we can quantify our progress.

Top has entrusted the club to people he trust, Whelan has won awards as top CEO. Rudkin has been his advisor from day one. He Khun Top needs to be here more to get a better feel of how this club is losing the relationship between the club and fans. Coming here for 3 days when people know when you are coming, you do not get the chance to see how things really are. Someone said that the now sadly departed Queen probably believes everywhere smells like disinfectant,  it is hard to get the real picture, no one can afford to be honest with you. Their jobs are on the line.

Anyone wanting them out deserves nothing less than Mike Ashley running the club.

The day-to-day management of the club deserves much scrutiny but fck me in the days of Shipman and Martin George we were begging for proper ownership like this. People with cash, willing to invest, not afraid to bail us out rather than sell every asset at the club while we yo-yo between divisions. No-one can point to one thing that Top has done wrong that doesn't relate to sacking the manager. He's not above reproach but wanting KP out? Christ, give your head a wobble.

This is exactly what the above post highlights. A complete blindness the dire situation we’re in!

You can have this view of course, but you should know this club is hurtling towards a total disaster and the board are seemingly sat on their hands watching or unfold.

Essentially, the stadium plans are like planning the next voyage on the titanic after its hit the iceberg.

We might have won those games if we had a manager who actually gives a shit, and isn’t just trying to save his ass when the inevitable eventually happens.

At this point you are supporting the family and not the club

pretty much you are owner fans and not Leicester city fans

not sure what will be the line after which they will not support this clown owner and board

"They dragged us out of swamp" is not pure sentiments any more, it's Stockholm syndrome

I've never felt so disillusioned and disengaged with our club.

Many factors have led to me to feel this way, some of those factors are of no fault of the club and all on me, i've lost the passion and drive for it, but alot are the fault of the game and the club, the running of the club seems to be pushing us away from them further and further.
