I voted yes although admittedly that might have been a bit reactionary.

I don’t necessarily want top and king power out, I want him to do something. He doesn’t appear to be resolving any issues that are appearing in his business. If King Power were bleeding money and heading south would he just ignore it and leave a board of useless people to just get on with it? It doesn’t exactly point to a good businessman.

A nice PR move of converting debt into equity and some January signings was needed and was a huge step in the right direction, but the board that he oversees are very clearly unfit for purpose and we’re still stuck with Brendan ****ing Rodgers who’s only reason for employment seems to be unconditional love from Top.

Action is needed and if that’s him selling then I’m all for it. Otherwise, he should actually run the club that his family bought and has him as owner. There’s no room for sentiment at this stage when we could be in crippling debt in the second tier of english football next season.

It’s a popular opinion to say that Rudkin needs to be sacked. That conveniently overlooks the fact that he’s been around for a long time and was in place when we won the league and FA Cup.

Top/Whelan/Rudkin have all been present during our most successful period in our history. They shouldn’t be immune from criticism, however, as we often see regimes become stale and less innovative. Look at Arsenal and the Arsene Wenger years.

We do need a root and branch review of strategy and assess where things have gone wrong. Why we haven’t signed players, why haven’t players signed new contracts and why Brendan cannot get a consistent tune out of the squad?

I’m guessing that an output from that review would conclude that it should be led by a different manager and, maybe, a new philosophy around recruitment. Maybe Rudkin is part of that problem, but any DOF is only as good as the limitations that are placed upon him or her by the strategic vision and financial input from the top (or Top).

Edit - I voted to keep our current owners, but the club does need a reboot (see above). I just think our owners have enough credit in the bank to justify that they should be given the first opportunity to oversee it

The whole FCC process has fallen down. The club appear to hardly want to do them. The majority that still go to these from the support do so imo for some sort of clout or personal experience. Next to nothing has come from them which is a huge shame as if done well they could be a real force of good.

I guessed as much to be honest. Yes that is a real shame as if its the only way in as a fan it needs to be utilised as its obviously not being used currently.

We have got debt though. Top paid off debt to King Power, we still owe for the other loans. And I'm pretty sure we've already gambled our parachute payments away?

We are fvcked if we go down, it won't be an enjoyment.

no we haven’t gambled our parachute payments away. You can’t secure a loan against a non existing payment. No one will enjoy relegation, but I do see  a way to have a quick return.

They've secured it against our future premier league earnings if im correct? Meaning it's either going to be what we earn from TV money if we stay up or the parachute payments if we go down.

No chance I want him to sell but I'd like to see some direction or action taken. I'm fine with us being mid table but fix the following

- dire quality of football

- mishandling of player contracts

- stupid shit like goal music, clappers and the lack of our proper history being recognised

against tv payments. But I’m pretty sure that’s done on a rolling situation year by year basis

No. I don't believe anybody genuinely wants them to sell up.

But...I do want to see drastically improved 2-way communication; including a commitment to active listening in monthly fan forums, non-voting fan representation on the board, and the six-monthly publication of a report detailing actions and plans. They have to commit to greater transparency and accountability. Susan and the board lucked out with the whole "trust us" thing, but that doesn't wash now given the gradual decline and inactivity.

They need to demonstrate that we really do have the best owners - they need to make fans feel an important part of the club, and that's not handing out a free donut.

That's pretty shit it that is the case.

There must be a reason? Club-fan communication is paramount.

The new government rules hopefully means something will be put back into the pipeline. Whenever they come in, anyway. But there should be something in place irrespective of those.

Since 1990 our average league position has been 21st place in the league system.

Pre-King Power 1990- 2010 it was 26th place.

Since King Power took over we have averaged 14th

Sell up  - no, actively seek additional investment from like-minded/ethical individuals/organisations to take us to the next level as a club - yes!

Susan Whelan is just as culpable as Rudkin.

Hiring managers for managers on the business side of things, filled the club with people who have been implementing stupid ideas such as the ticketing being all mobile, no tickets at the club shop, giving massive contracts to security firms to bring in all these extra stewards on a match day, no food and drink to be bought in at the start of the season. It goes on and on behind the scenes, its down to Susan that we've moved away from the family club ethos that has worked so well for the KP group.

These middle managers have been delegated so much of the operations she's practically here in name only now, she as much as Top have taken their attentions elsewhere and is shown over the last 18 months.

Where? As in, away from the club?

Maybe that's part of the reason why, because Top might realise he needs people around him with the footballing expertise to help guide him, and he sees Rodgers as one of the most knowledgeable football people at the club.

Problem is, Brendan doesn’t want it, whatever spark he has for this club has long been extinguished. It’s clear he has taken this team as far as he can, and now he’s just withering away and taking the club with him.

His negativity is like a poison, and it’s fast flowing through the club.

Let’s talk about this at the end of the season. Right now it’s all hands on deck, balls to the walls siege mentality. We are in a corner and we need to fight our way out or it’s curtains.

Absolutely embarrassing. Is this the way modern football is going? Not content with calling for the manager’s head all the while, it now extends to owners?

Especially when we have owners who are the envy of the footballing world?

I know it’s fashionable amongst fans of the biG SIx teams to whinge about your club’s owners. Even though, in most cases, I’m not sure they really have a realistic basis on which to moan.

Ironically, the only rich clubs whose fan bases are happy with their owners are those owned by uber-corrupt and/or murderous Arab states. Classy. If the footballing world hadn’t gone insane, they’re the ones who SHOULD be wanting their owners gone.

Grow up.

I dont want the owners to sell the club but just lately alot of things need answering.

Direction the club is going?

Why or what is happening with our current form.

Why injuries are so high.

Are we going to spend circa 350 million in the summer when the majority of the squad leave on a free.

Whats the ambition now?

I voted No, but he needs to seriously buck his ideas up in terms of the day to day running. Wiping out debt is one thing, but allowing such a footballing implosion isn't acceptable and totally avoidable.
