I don't want him out, but I want him to seriously step up his game. The club is a mess. He's running on credit in the bank at the minute.

I am neutral towards King Power. They are not a family but a company, hence why they've appointed Susan Whelan and so on. I am not sycophantic towards them like some of our fanbase, which is a dangerous step, because you have to be able to hold them accountable for the good or/and bad. Every season the club becomes more corporate than the last, whilst our owners play a part in that, I see the Premier League and wider football market as the main causation for this. Furthermore, I believe Nigel Pearson was more responsible for our success on the pitch, rather than King Power. Could another manager have built what he did? Very unlikely. Could he have built what he did without King Power? Most likely. Although, we might not have won the league, instead gaining sustained success like that under Martin O'neill.

However, I am wary of who is out there to replace them. For that reason I will vote in. Whilst we lose our identity on and off the pitch, through the ownership and the advent of modern football, I will continue to enjoy the intangible heritage of my experience of supporting the club. Those friends I only see at football. The pubs I visit. The route I take to the ground and have done for the last twenty years. My memories and nostalgia, of worse times on the pitch, but happier times as a supporter. This is what football is about.

Great post and I completely agree.

KP/Top will take us down and you will all still worship them

It isn’t about worshipping them, I’m explaining to you that it wouldn’t be the doom and gloom you see it as. It would be a very rare occurrence that a team gets relegated from the Prem with no debt. We’d then have parachute payments also so we’d likely be back very quickly. AND if they did decide to sell, it wouldn’t be hard to find a buyer. who would most likely want to invest anyway.

Something isn’t right in the boardrooms. Financially the club is in a mess, there’s been countless poor decisions made which has ultimately led to this moment.

The men’s team is heading down

The female team is heading down

The under 21s are in poor form as are the under 18’s

There’s a lot wrong with the club at the moment, we can’t however go after them with pitchforks… but I can’t help but think the club needs help, yes we’ve seen some incredible times under KP, but there are definitely a number of blunders been made that’s really jeopardised the future of this club.

We’re going down with a monster of a training facility that will require a lot of money to upkeep probably more than a championship club can afford. A stadium expansion that if we can’t get back up will end up being a wasted investment as there’s no way it will reach capacity on a lower division.

A host of players are about to walk away on free’s when some of them are valuable assets that could have been sold on for good money.

I don’t know what’s happened, covid can’t be an excuse because plenty of other clubs were in the same position over covid and aren’t in as bad shape as us. We’ve been led to believe the club has been really well run, but that seems to have fallen apart over the last few years.

Perhaps the tragedy of Vichai has had a bigger impact than we think, It shook the club to the very core..

Theres some major infrastructural investments coming up and we’re going to have a hell of a lot less money to play with. This is what makes this whole situation so bizarre, why the hell isn’t Brendan being fired when there’s so much at stake?

If he hasn’t by some miracle turned things around by mid April, and is still here we will most definitely be going down.

Whilst there’s games to play and an opportunity to change him, we have a chance, let that go and if afraid it’s over.

Maybe that's part of the reason why, because Top might realise he needs people around him with the footballing expertise to help guide him, and he sees Rodgers as one of the most knowledgeable football people at the club.

We have got debt though. Top paid off debt to King Power, we still owe for the other loans. And I'm pretty sure we've already gambled our parachute payments away?

We are fvcked if we go down, it won't be an enjoyment.

I've always been critical of the credit they've received because I think ultimately managerial appointments have almost always been made without any real long term planning or strategy and that they were exceptionally fortunate to walk into a club that had had Pearson as manager, with the backroom team he'd put together, and that they were very lucky their attempts to court Harry Redknapp while we were in the Championship failed. I attribute very little of our success to our owners really, they played a part but a very small one in comparison to many other people.

But having said that, I think anyone who wants them to sell must be absolutely mad. They're not perfect. They're not going to miraculously turn our bottom of the top tier-top of the second tier club into the best team in England again. But they do seem to want to move the club forwards, Top is going to care for what is part of his dad's legacy, and they've demonstrated that they're not going to go significantly against the identity of the club or the fanbase, or just take as much out of the club as they can. We really could do so so much worse and you'd want to take that risk, why, because they show more faith in the people they employ than we'd always like? I just think that's insane, there's absolutely no reason for us to want to gamble with our football club.

The fact that king power out has any kind of traction shows how toxic foxestalk has got. We only moved into Seagrave in 2021one of the best training facilitys in the world.

Over the past 10 years they have been the best owners in football and its unbelievable that people want them out because they have a difference of opinion with them over Brendan.

Be very careful what you wish for!

Exactly...plus strange..not many fans seem even aware the business effect that COVID had,or still having. The fallout is still having consequences, and many International firms, needing their top people investing time,re-assesment,realignment&  reconstruction ,of their firms....

One would think wise fans would also expect, that these groups & firms would be asking for some understanding...the Oil shieks, countries obviously have their own untouchable finances and a different playroom.

But companies like KP,  will be needing time to rejuggle.

ABIT more respect & acknowledgement of general matters, that influence Top/KP/ and then board in fighting on 2 fronts would not be amiss. When we were down ,& needed support for our 'pastime,'

they picked this club & then this city up.

In their hour of need,we give them this scheiss-topic..

Instead of such BS posts, FT fans should give and show understanding.

But Leicester can be just a selfish, spitefull, egostic unforgiving city at times, especially when we have had a boost from the family,KP & board..but they have had to pull back on the reins somewhat...

Unfortunately there will be people & anonymous social media-FTers,who will always put a .."yes but" controversy forward..

I know what I think of them....

i’ve gone for yes and that’s simply because we are going in the wrong direction and nothing is being done to rectify it.

It’s not about investment but more about attitude. They are currently allowing for our downfall and it’s just not being run in a smart way.

I just don’t have confidence Top knows what he’s doing, nor do i think it’s his top priority and I think he’s happy letting the board do as they please… problem is they are also proving to be out of their depth.

Wise thing to do is hold on your judgement till the end of the year. The performance is currently trending negatively, but could be a case of having to wait till the summer before being able to do certain things.

I agree with the overall vision of investing in the club so it can be self-sustainable in the future. The actual using these facilities is leaving a lot to be desired right now though.

I don't want him/them out but things need to change and quickly. It's not just the Rodgers situation, it's the whole club, the last few years off the pitch have been shocking. Every few weeks there seems to be another astonishing decision being taken which seems to be against the fans or against logic and we're expected to just keep happy clapping, turning up and paying our money without questioning it.

Those that don't think Top or KP can do anything wrong scare me, it sounds like regardless of what happens (even multiple relegations) people would still say he's doing a fantastic job and we want to be careful what we wish for.

They've been quite fortunate here and I think that's led to a lot of complacency. We totally deserved to win the league but appointing Ranieri after an erratic managerial search and winning the league wasn't a result of careful planning.

My biggest concern is there doesn't seem to be any desire to change things behind the scenes. We sack Rodgers and we still have the same staff overseeing this disaster in place. If you have to rely on a manager being a long term builder all the time, something isn't right.

Nah, I think we just know that that isn't going to happen (multiple relegations), and I'm confident we'll survive this season, too.

I think we'll be going into next season with Rodgers as manager, quite a fair few new signings/departures and a changed atmosphere within the fan base ready to climb back up the league a little bit. Don't expect us to fight for Europe, but be 11th-14th-ish.

Do we still have a fans committee ? I'm sure the minutes from meetings used to get shared?

surely as fans  if people want answers those are the guys to get the answers?

The whole FCC process has fallen down. The club appear to hardly want to do them. The majority that still go to these from the support do so imo for some sort of clout or personal experience. Next to nothing has come from them which is a huge shame as if done well they could be a real force of good.

I think the anti crowd are just reactionary people lashing out because they're anxious currently.

Wanting owners to leave who have taken us from second tier mediocrity to winning three trophies (including the biggest two in English football) in the last seven years is moronic.

I'm about an hour late but this is pretty much the reasoning for me voting no as well.

Very much my concern and something I mentioned earlier, it seems to be luck of the appointments made rather than a clear plan that has led to sustained success. The fact we stalled and have gone backwards so quickly is testament to that.

Vichai constantly learned from his errors and generally resolved any issues fairly quickly. Top his has this summer to prove to me he possesses the same qualities as his dad, otherwise he'll lose my support.

Too much faith in Rudkin and not wanting to appoint fresh people behind the scenes is a big worry though. It all feels extremely comfortable and complacent atm though, you're right.

I certainly wouldn't want different owners but Top needs to appoint someone who knows how to run a top flight football club and, most importantly, curtail the power and influence of Rodgers.
