Top & KP - In or Out?

Observing the Top thread is quite clear we have a split on whether the fans are now pro or anti our current ownership structure, would you like to see KP sell LCFC and Top be releived of his duties as Chairman?

I think the anti crowd are just reactionary people lashing out because they're anxious currently. 

 

Wanting owners to leave who have taken us from second tier mediocrity to winning three trophies (including the biggest two in English football) in the last seven years is moronic.

I don't think it's just 'lashing out'.

 

You can deeply appreciate what they have achieved, and at the same time believe that there is probably someone else out there that can take us forward. Current evidence suggests we're only going to continue going backwards under Top from here, and he doesn't seem arsed about correcting that.

Ofcourse we won't always agree with decisions made by the owners, I don't think there is a single fanbase that can claim this but one thing that I don't think could ever be questioned is that KP/Top always do what they think is right for the club and that's not a given with a lot of owners around.

Would further investment in the form of a minority/split shareholder be welcome? Yeah, possibly, considering how the rich seem to keep getting richer, but KP out? No chance.

You just don't know what's happening in his head or behind the scenes. Of course he's arsed. Given the death of his dead, probably more arsed than any owner out there. But maybe they've been waiting for the new recruitment head before calling a big decision on the manager's future. We just don't know.

Absolutely NOT! Even suggesting it after all they've done for the club and City makes me feel queezy. Very disrespectful. 

 

A bit of communication would improve matters, that's all.

Was supposing people may be blaming Top/KP for us doing badly/not sacking Rodgers, or for not pushing us into the top when we went  so close. as it would likely require an influx of cash from our owners

The executive level of the club certainly needs a refresh, but that doesn't mean Top should sell, we've seen so many awful owners in this sport that'd it'd be dangerous right now to assume we'd do better.

I think just ousting Jon Rudkin could make a massive difference.

Even with me being critical of them at times I still vote no.

 

I think a couple things need changing though, including getting rid of Rudkin or just putting him back to reserve level.

The fact that king power out has any kind of traction shows how toxic foxestalk has got. We only moved into Seagrave in 2021one of the best training facilitys in the world. 

 

Over the past 10 years they have been the best owners in football and its unbelievable that people want them out because they have a difference of opinion with them over Brendan.

I think there’s a problem with getting too friendly/personally involved, as it seems this is what’s keeping Brendan there, that’s what gave some their unfathomable contracts, but I can only go on what i see and read. The club has to be treated as a business, and Rodger’s and the players as target enforced employees, and currently quite a few are failing and don’t seem that concerned, why is this we ask?

I mean, they’ve cleared hundreds of millions of debt. Twice. They are not blood sucking vampires. Admittedly  I’m hoping there will be a time that investing in infrastructure will be done so we can increase our budget for the playing side.. but I certainly don’t want them gone and I’m perplexed as to why someone would..

I don't want Top to leave, he's not acting like he wants to destroy this club. Perhaps mis-advised or lacking direction but I don't think any of it is done with harmful intentions.

 

I do however want us to look at a refresh on the board, a new Director of Football perhaps.

Hard to answer because I don't think it's that simple. What I will say is that I don't think that King Power are anywhere near the majesty that some seem to hold them in. More wrong is being done that right and that's been the case for quite a while.

Personally, feels to me that for the past few years the clubs been running on the back of what Vichai built. Now that we're getting to the point where Top has to make decisions of his own he seems out of his depth.
