Wrote this for The Fosse Way: https://www.thefosseway.net/viewpoint/leicester-city-ruud-rudkin-january-2025

For those who think Rudkin is doing a good enough job, it would be interesting to hear what a minimum acceptable January would look like?

How many players in/out? By when?!

Then we can all look back on 1st February and determine if he’s done enough…

One of the things I'm considering, and the reason I'm not criticising the club as yet is PSR.

What if we've breached 23/24, where do we go from there?

What if we're close to breaching this season,  so need outgoings first?

When we got promoted, I had little hope we'd survive, it seems we are battling the snowball effect from our original.problems.

When I think about summer 22, I got mad we weren't signing anyone, I had no idea we'd breach psr and the repercussions, but we ended up breaching with Souttar and VK anyway, so I get the tough choices now.

Wolves and Ipswich have 3/4 tough league games ahead, ours more favourable. We have the cup so a little time, let's see what comes out with PSR mid jan and see where we're at.

Over 30k people give you vote of no confidence yet you still remain in the job. Surely Rudkin hears the chants and must think "I probably better off stepping down"

If we have breached in either then the club deserve even more criticism given the business we've done to put ourselves at risk...

100%. Mental that people keep making excuses for how this club is being run.

Summer 23 was a good transfer window, it was good enough to get us up, the club did what they needed to do, and I guess there's always an element of a gamble.

Last summer was hampered by our looming points deduction, and if what we've spent in the summer has maxed us out, what would you have the club do?

Should we breach or comply?

Can't some supporter group at he club try and arrange a meeting with him or Susan Whelan, demanding answers?

I'm not making excuses, I tried to make a point that we don't know what's happening behind the scenes.we're still suffering the repercussions of not making Europe, players on too high wages and a manager with a hold plated contract.

Coming into this season, its likely Ipswich and Southampton had a better financial position than we did.

Near on impossible.

Because, possibly, the club may not respond to such official requests?

If all the noise is to be believed, she’s the first CEO not concerned with the fundamental product of the business. Incredible role.

Yes this. They have very little time for the fan groups.

Foxes Pride are the only supporter group now who get a regularly meet with the club so they would be an option but I doubt it is something they would want to do.

Radio Leicester have been asking for years and even they get knocked back.

Why is this the case?

As far as I can see they appear to not want to openly criticise the club.

They didn’t co sign the joint fan group work on the £25 stuff which kept them off the naughty step.

Susan Whelan is someone that seems to get away with a lot considering the mess our club is in I don’t hear her name mentioned enough. I thought her job was to run the financial side of the club ? I’m no expert but I’d say she failed catastrophically.

More so than Rudkin potentially

I think I'm getting misunderstood by some, I absolutely criticise the club for Rodgers contract, and some of the contracts dished out to players that were frankly ridiculous. I also criticise the club whole heartedly to where they're taking fan engagement, price of tickets, choices made with stadium expansion etc, it's all been totally mismanaged. I'm only holding fire in terms of why we haven't signed anyone yet.

They see themselves as a business and the fans as customers.

It is that simple.

They don’t care about really, they just want our money.

I have absolutely no problem with that. Except they don’t run it like a business!

The problem we have is every owner is corrupt at this level or has some skeletons in the cupboard. Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive. The recent sponsorship issues proves that. However, we have it worse than most. Not only are they corrupt good for nothings, they’ve cocked up the football side too. They’re the worse type of ownership anyone could possibly ask for.

With the FA Cup down the priority list, Saturday would be perfect to show frustrations towards Rudkin and Whelan

By a few hundred if that, we need 10k belting it out to really make a difference. Plus it needs to happen for a long period, 20+ minutes, not just 1 minute then stop.

I agree I think if we want more people to join in though it probably needs to change to we want rudkin out or something as some people will agree but not want to sing Rudkin's a C***

Corrupt good for nothings.......Really!

Any proof regarding these serious allegations?

Maybe a lot of inexperience and some incompetence.
