People are far too obsessed with Rudkin. Need to move on and back the team.

Enzo gave a good insight the other week into how well he thought of the owners and Rudkin. They are both trying the best for the team and have made many more good decisions than bad.

We are where we are now and need to fight to try and stay in this league.

He didn't need to say anything, but chose to specifically praise Top and Rudkin. Also clearly gave Ruud a glowing report on the club.

PR works well in football. Good to keep all future employers and your agent happy

Enzo spent most of his time here indirectly slagging Rudkin and other elements of the club off both publicly and privately

I wouldn’t take anything he says now at face value

I know it's often asked how we have so drastically regressed whilst others such as Brighton and Brentford have passed us on their ascent, but the difference between Paul Barber and Jon Rudkin for instance is night and day.

There's a great interview with Barber (think it's on Sky) where he talks about the inner workings of Brighton and the need for succession planning. The attention to detail from the club is incredible, literally every position from senior leadership, playing staff, coaching staff, and tea lady are planned for. It's no coincidence at all that they are capable of continuously selling off their most valuable talent and progressing.

Contrast that against ourselves where we seem to be in disarray everytime a change occurs it boggles the mind.

I think the most stable we have been over the past 10 years aside from under Walsh, was when Macia was pulling the strings. We actually seemed organised and prepared for playing personnel changes which limited the impact of losing our best players.

I was thinking yesterday about how what we are now seeing is the legacy left behind from Rodgers, and there was a lot of talk during the appointment of Congerton about his impact on Sunderland and how he set them back year's, and to a slightly lesser extent (we at least returned back to the PL at the first attempt thanks to Enzo) the similarities are astonishing.

Ultimately all of this has happened under Rudkin's watch and like any business the buck stops with the guy overseeing it all. Consequently he needs to be moved on and rather quickly based on the evidence of recent year's.

Ourselves and Brighton are in similar positions in that a good season could lead to Europe and a bad one might be relegation yet they seem far better prepared for everything. The only time recently we have been decisive and prepared for change is going from Puel to Rodgers. It is ridiculous how we have been run.

Looking at the current situation- why wouldn't you just change for change's sake? Nobody wants Rudkin outside the club, we won't lose a coveted asset. We are stuck with the same man, same mindset. The club is stale.

There's no way he's thinking, I really need to specifically give Rudkin some praise just in case it helps me in the future!

I don’t recall him mentioning Rudkin just singled out Top as an amazing and special person.

This was one of his quotes:

‘The owner and his family are fantastic people, fantastic human beings. They care for the players, staff, all the people that work inside the club, and you can see that. And the sporting director Jon Rudkin too.

Was it a dig at Rudkin, or a dig at the fans (suggesting they don't know anything)?

Could be either, or both? 🤷‍♂️

He’s thinking about jobs in the future and his own. If he’s asked a question about his old employers, he’s not going to criticism them is he? It’s a bad look. The club has a right falling out with Enzo and his agent in July - to the point he stopped using his agency for signings

Enzo’s best mate Guillem Balague consistently kept referring to there being individuals at LCFC which would hold him back

2 years ago, we needed Rodgers out and rebuild. They chose not to, that falls on the DOF. So last year we needed Rudkin out, the ownership chose not to. So now, for this club to move anywhere and not be ran like corner shop who engages in corrupt practices, ignoring fans and jeopardising the long term future of the club, we need the ownership out. Top is the biggest problem at this club - the rest are just cogs in his poorly oiled machine.

No he's not going to criticise them. But you also don't need to go full on with the praise.

If they had a falling out after Enzo took the Chelsea job, it doesn't change what happened in the 12 months before. I'm pretty sure if hated the way the club was run, he would have told Ruud to politely decline the job offer.

Fair enough I missed that one about Rudkin.

Maybe just maybe you can love the club, the players, a lot of good people behind the scenes whilst thinking the guy who is in charge of the football operation is a complete liability and preventing the club from fulfilling its potential.

therefore when he spoke with Ruud maybe he was honest, wonderful club, great owner, however the DoF is out of his depth, so if you join push for a change.
