That was never going to happen, we won't ever be a team that can maintain the wages necessary

.. we do not have to play the same games as the big boys!!!

Levy has a firm grip on the purse strings and we need to do the same. We sign players on reasonable wages and not keep adjusting to match salaries should a select player knocks on the door looking for more.

Look to offload players quicker and replace as needed. There are so much talent on the Continent where we can afford,  we need to scout and buy better.

By "force" I didn't mean a top 4 or even top 6 club.

I was referring to a club in that 7-10 group; that is always a win or two away from hitting Europe or with a good cup run is a shout to win it kind of level.

Fair enough.

Although that group is always a bad run/a bit of bad luck away from a relegation battle. Seems like five minutes ago us and West Ham were looking comfy up there...

Leicester City is burning, almost everyone at the club has been cited by some on here as people they’d like fired, sold or generally left behind somewhere like one of David Cameron’s children.

So, as we stand back and marvel at the flames licking around the feet of a club that really ought not to be on fire, what or who would you like to see saved from the impending inferno of disaster?

I would like to see our club pride salvaged at the very least. If we can avoid the humiliation of a final game of the season drama where we lose dramatically in the dying minutes and all cameras pan to our fans of all areas crying. Three clubs are going to go through that hell & misery. I hope and pray we are not one of them.

LCFC players and owners will come and go but the fans, especially those I know and a few have met from FT are the best. These people make the club. So the flames can lick away but nothing will change the respect and camaraderie I share with you.

All very noble and sentiment led.

Very off topic too, misguided even.

The shyt show is massive no amount of online man taps & virtual hugs gets round that. The people who make the club have been badly failed. The people who own it are in a mess contracts wise, rebuild wise, who decides what wise  -  even if the club wasn't in a relegation scrap. Mid table for five seasons would be an achievement from here and from where the club was and on the brink of, more importantly, this is catastrophic.

Fair play to you though.

In the event of everything burning, what do I want removed?

The fire.

Sorry, I've already thrown a box of Topps Tiles shirts and Levi Porter onto it.

Is anyone else also keep hearing from media pundits and outlets that they are still stunned by our position in the table and that ‘we are too good to go down’?

I know we’re all sick of hearing that and we’ve been ringing the alarm bells for a long time now. It’s like we’re still being dismissed as relegation candidates even now! only a few have expressed a little worry that we are in trouble but they still won’t go as far as say we are certain to go down. Is it faith in us or do they see something we don’t.

I know our squad is better than all the others but that’s when they are performing to their capabilities. I don’t know it kinda feels like hope but I’m not buying it lol. I need to see our players start to drag themselves out of this mess with actual results than maybe I can start to hope again.
