Micah Richards is the man who turned down £100,000 a week at Man City to sit on a bench to earn £25,000 at Aston Villa. (And got relegated with Villa)

I’d take his punditry with a pinch of salt.

This is the same guy who swore blind that Raheem Sterling was badly mistreated at Man City and would be a massive success at Chelsea. He hasn't got a clue. One of the most inane, unoriginal pundits out there - and that's saying something!

I think he’s a breath of fresh air in a corner of the industry dominated by ex-players with all the charisma of a drying sock. His appeal has never been on the cutting edge analysis, it’s about his ability to share his experience in a way that’s actually engaging.

I also don’t think there’s much controversial about what he’s saying here. We all agree we are lacking leaders this season.

He was putting up amazing numbers for City and England every season, not sure anyone would have predicted the mess Chelsea would be this season

Give me Bukayo Saka over Sterling any day of the week... and for that matter Nigel de Jong over Richards as an ex-Man City pundit who actually speaks with clarity, insight and intelligence.

I am FuchsNTF…so for me easy to understand Micah Richards he has clarity, insight & a bloody clever pundit, hes one ex-footballer who is so easy on the ear, ( we use code) and he kills me with his infectious laugh..

Too many pundits waffle on for hrs without saying anything…

I would love to see more sessions with…Keane,Micah & Souness….

better than those cartoon fixtures…

This is football not a university dayroom for middle class wups…..

Sticking with Ward has cost us precious points this season and Brendan his job, self inflicted like a lot of what's been wrong with us.

We've been shocking all over the pitch and Kasper didn't have a great season last year either in all honesty. A small factor maybe but has not single handedly brought us relegation

Er, right... each to their own, I guess.

I mean, this is a pretty rubbish reason to not trust his punditry could you not think of anything else? lol

Left Man City to play first team football and was on 50k PW at Villa so still a great contract.

His contract then halved after relegation as per most premier league contracts. A lot of our boys’ contracts will halve if we go down 👍

I don't think we'd be in the relegation zone with Kasper; his shot stopping and leadership was clearly quite important given where we are. Rodgers sticking with Ward has been one of his biggest mistakes.

Richards can be very biased with things relating to Man City. I think both he and Kasper came up through the youth academy together. However, on this occasion I agree with him and everything he says in this clip.

I don’t think we’d be in the relegation zone had Iversen played all season tbh. Ward’s continued selection has been a massive factor.

Our goalie situation will be the main reason why we’ll get relegated this season.

Only recently the media has started to take notice of all the **** ups in our club?

But no one is blaming Rogers for any of it.

That’s true, he left with his reputation intact.

Did he tho?

Sure, some still talk him up, and some mention legitimate mitigating factors, but I think the majority of honest onlookers saw a man confirm that he really does have a limited shelf life. I’m willing to bet he never receives a contract again like we gave him.

Kasper could've sat in a deckchair behind our goal instructing and we wouldn't be in the relegation zone

Club and team captain, old fella an amazing keeper so even more knowledgeable, 414 games for us over 12 years, title winner, 91 International games.

Leaves 3 days before the start of the season????

Obvious Rodgers resented him as he commanded more respect than he did.

To publicly state that Ward was a equal number one and drop KS was the work of a clueless perma-tanned narcissist

He should have been fired for this alone as to sanction selling KS is scandalous and that’s without going into all of BR’s crap rhetoric - should have fine after Forest away in the cup

That's rewriting history just a little bit, dont you think?

Kasper was one of our highest paid players at a time when we had a very well known problem with an inflated wage bill. He'd been poor more and more frequently over the previous season, and whilst he's a strong character in the dressing room, he was also a huge ego (well-earned) and you can see how he'd be a difficult character (at best) to manage if he doesn't fully buy in to you.

BR vs KS shouldn't be the debate - the only issue with letting Kasper go is our blinding faith in Ward (ahead of Iversen) and total lack of investment in the summer.
