I would replace him tonight he is that clueless. Incredibly lucky to have got 5 points, but we are getting no more with him in charge. Players have a lot to answer for, but that midfield is in inexcusable

This is why" fans" don't run football clubs. It's not football manager.

He's been a bit too gung ho I think. Turned the games into basketball games. Rodgers was too far the other way, but we're too bad at the back to play like this.

We were too bad at the back under Rodgers playing too far the other way…

The players are shit end of it, pep wouldn’t have been able to turn them into a decent side in so little time

Oh yeh, ultimately it is going to be our defence that will see us relegated.

Who would you have appointed?

It needed doing 12 games ago, id have kept Rodgers (Can't stand him) rather than some bloke who got sacked by Norwich

2 strikes against Smith now;

1st - The nonsense about Maddison on penalties against Everton.

2nd - "They're a good bunch of lads". Don't bullshit us, they're an unlikable bunch of cunts who are looking at their exits.

So managers are wrong not to back their players and  call them out publicly.(BR)

But also wrong for backing them and  not calling them out? (Smith)

Which do you want?

Fans....you got to love em.

I'd really become convinced he was a good appointment until today. He's quite obviously not the answer to either the Premier League or Championship question.

Wait youd have kept Rodgers?! Are you for real? So who

are you to judge if that was your opinion? No offence.

Got away with one first half against Wolves playing 3 strikers and no midfield ,tactically naive .

Rodgers chucked them under the bus spouting nonsense about them, blatant lies regards Soyuncu for example, all Rodgers was concerned about was Brand Brendan and a self preservation project.

I see nothing wrong but digging players out for what everyone can see on matchday.

Something rotten in the playing squad.

Too many go hiding, shirking responsibility, living off past glories and most know they have a transfer lined up or are on the way out anyway.

21 defeats tells its own story. We need to clean house and go again.

Maybe just maybe. We are not good enough.

It may be as simple as that.

At what point do people stop pointing the finger at those in charge, and start looking at those on the pitch?

This is the second manager in, a complete set of new voices with it very apparent what needs to be done. Yet minus the odd 15-30min fight, we are completely helpless.

Clearly too many are saving themselves for a move away, it's extremely apparent that too many of them just don't have fight.

I fully expect to hear in the coming years that behind the scenes we've become like Stoke were when they dropped. A great atmosphere turned sour.

Smith turning up to training tomorrow.

And if we had stayed up by relying on others results , just delaying the inevitable next season. Get used to a long and painful rebuild in the Championship ( hopefully ).

Not making more than just the one sub at half time was the sign for me that he’s not the guy for either outcome at the end of the season.

Before Everton I was all for giving him the job whether we stayed up or went down, now I wouldn’t

give him it either way.

Has done nothing other than the win against Wolves.

We all give him props because he's less bullshit than brendan but he's done nothing really. The players are abysmal and it's mainly due to the shitshow around transfers and contracts that will see us go down but in hindsight, Smith was the wrong call.

We are not agreed. But we were not so long ago with essentially the same players (less Fofana) and this decline in such a short space of time isn’t acceptable IMO
