Let's hope he gets a chance and takes it, we need to tie him down on a new deal. 8 minutes ago, deep blue said: I like the sound of his self-imposed extra training. Chilwell did something similar a few years back and it brought him on tremendously. It shows a really determined character. I also like his choosing us over potential Prem offers, if the report is to be believed, too. Given the decline in our fitness last season, our short preseason, and the demands of a gruelling season in the Championship in prospect, it is good news to hear of someone willing to get a head start. Hope he makes an impact. Quite astute from the young lad as well. By going down and losing a lot of players, there's a chance for some of the academy lads to make an impression, especially for a manager with a reputation for doing well with young players. Richards clearly has a level head, and is probably being advised really well. Bring on the new season 2
Lesta2014 Posted 28 June 2023 Posted 28 June 2023 Be good to have a striker come through the academy it’s been ages. 1

The 18-year-old joined the Foxes from Arsenal ’s academy 19 months ago. Not only has impressed behind the scenes with his output and his attitude, he was named Leicester ’s Academy Player of the Year last month, having been the top scorer at any level at the club. He managed more than 20 goals and assists and - with just a year left on his contract - has attracted interest from Newcastle, West Ham and Brentford. But Richards is understood to be determined to make a breakthrough at the King Power. He has already returned from his summer break early to implement a training regime that he hopes will leave him in shape for Maresca’s pre-season plans. In turn Maresca, a teenage midfielder himself during a spell at West Brom between 1998 and 2000, is keen to develop young players having previously been under-23s boss under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Ric Flair Posted 28 June 2023 Posted 28 June 2023 Richards, Opoku, Hirst, Vardy, Iheanacho, Daka all at the club. It could well be that we don't sign a new striker this summer, which given the amount of wingers and midfielders we need is welcome relief. 1

If the reports that we're chasing Piroe are true, it must mean we expect at least one of Iheanacho or Daka to leave...

Another top prospect gone I mean its playing for the best youth set up in England or playing in a team thats full of and coached by people who were deemed not good enough by Aston Villa.. Big overhaul needed in that under 21 set up. Hopefully Maresca will have a big say on it as a former PL2 coach Edited 28 June 2023 by South Shire Fox 2

Ric Flair Posted 28 June 2023 Posted 28 June 2023 At the risk of repeating myself, has Trey Nyoni left as well or possibly leaving? Or have I made that up?

I see a few bench appearances for him this season and maybe a pre season space considering the injuries and possible departures we have in attacking positions Edited 30 June 2023 by Jimopinion
