Not till we're 15 points clear at the top of the championship with only 10 more points to play for...

Nothing changes what happened.

Anchoring negative stuff is a waste of life.....

Seeing so much I wanted for this club blown away and having to start the rebuild from the ground up. No ones knows what the set up would be if we had stayed up on the final day

Barnes and Maddison my well have left but their transfer fees would have been considerably more, the stadium expansion wouldn't be in doubt, we would be bringing in better quality players, we would still be a Premier League club.

I've got over the anger and frustration,  I'm going along supporting the team but right now me heart really isn't in it.

Bit boring to bring this thread back up.

Everything that's happened has been done.

We're now two games into a new season, with a new manager, are haven't lost yet. Enjoy it rather than looking back.

Not sure how we can have 10pts to play for?

I'm convinced there was a clause in Rodgers' contract that made it cheaper to sack him if we were in the relegation zone.

It's the only way I can make the timing of his sacking make any sense.

Top gambled and we paid the price. They're not stupid enough to fail to see that Rodgers had checked out, it's just that they thought we'd have enough to stay up anyway.

I think if we go straight back up we could end up in a stronger position than if we had narrowly avoided relegation.
I am also enjoying The Championship, watching our rebuild and the way we are playing. I loved the counter attacking style that was our blue print, and didn’t think I’d love the slow, slow, at times tempo under Maresca but there’s a world of difference from what we are seeing know which feels like positional chess on a football pitch compared to the slow turgid stuff under Rodgers.
The most annoying thing to answer the question posed by the thread is if we don’t bounce back this season. Our best players will be poached and we’re already seeing it happen to players from our academy. Maresca could also be lifted by a Prem club next season if we don’t go up. That would be a disaster seeing how much faith we’ve put in him.

we shake hands and settle for a draw in our final fixture due to reduced squad from injuries on our opponents ...

I haven't, but then it took me a decade or so to get over Peter Taylor's act of industrial sabotage. This one feels worse.

No way, man.

It’s absolutely fair enough for people to still vent their frustration at the situation and also be positive about the future. They aren’t mutually exclusive.

Leicester City was at the zenith of its entire existence only a few years ago. Our success should’ve been something that propelled us to at the very least top half, top flight football for the foreseeable future.

We’re now playing in the Championship.

IMO It’s absolutely fine to hold animosity to those responsible for an utterly astounding fall from grace. It’s unforgivable. Football is about winning, and as positive as we are about the next era, we will never see anything even remotely like that level of success in our lifetime. The most amazing opportunity for a club like ours was wasted through sheer negligence, and personally it makes me feel better being fvcked off about it.

That we didn't force Rodgers to stay in charge until relegated. We were going down anyway. We should have made the **** have it on his CV.

You know in a few years he'll be massaging the narrative.

If that was so and they didn't do it after being pumped 6-2 by Spurs then i'd have fire Rudkin out of a cannon at half time instead of them shirts.
