I think they really missed Sam Kerr. Must be gutting for her to have a home World Cup and not be able to take part, and also be on the verge of a very swift exit.

What would make this tournament wide open is if usa crashed out. Then its anyone's competition. Looking at the USA so far, i wouldn't be surprised if Portugal shock the yanks. Defensive wise Portugal look solid.

Disappointing from the Matildas. Can’t see them progressing further. Haven’t watched all the matches, but Brazil, Germany and Japan have impressed most. England didn’t look particularly good either TBH.

Daly for England is settled at LB, Villa of course plays up top. Difference is, England have so many attacking options, it would be difficult to fit Daly in. Shes to good to sit on the bench, glad the gaffer got her starting.

yeah, no harm in a bit of versatility and Daly seems happy to play wherever she's put.
