JimJams Posted 30 August 2023 Posted 30 August 2023 Liverpool have enquired about a permanent move for GravenBerch from Bayern, which will leave a hole that'll need filling. Maybe another twist in the saga...

Molson Canadian Posted 30 August 2023 Posted 30 August 2023 let him go. scores a goal against a league 2 team with a 42 year old goalkeeper in net and 50 percent of me thinks he was actually trying to cross that ball into the box rather than actually put it on target. can't believe some of the people on here screaming his praises. his wages are most likely insanely high and we could take his transfer fee and his saved wages and put into someone younger for less than half the price to develop the maresca sexy football way. 1

From some articles online regarding his age. "Another major problem affecting the continent's game at youth level is age fraud, with Ghana and Nigeria among the nations hit with 'age scandals' in recent years. Four years ago, players from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Congo-Brazzaville were prevented from playing in the U-17 World Cup after MRI scans revealed them to be older than their birth certificates suggested. One of those excluded - Wilfred Ndidi - is currently impressing in the Premier League for Leicester City, demonstrating remarkable composure for a 20-year-old" BBC Article "Nine players have been kicked out of the African Under-17 Championship in Morocco after wrist scans showed them to be over the age limit. Three players each from Congo-Brazzaville, Ivory Coast and Nigeria have been banned from playing any further part in the competition. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) was used to scan the wrist plate of players to accurately ascertain their true age. Birth certificates are often either inaccurate or unavailable. The players to have been excluded are Congo's Cherlevy-Diabala Carim, Hardy Binguila and Bermagin Kangou, Ivory Coast's Dagou Britto, Abdul Diarrassouba and Siriki Dembele, and Nigeria's Onyinye Ndidi, Ibrahim Abdullahi and Emmanuel Asadu. 1
STUHILL Posted 30 August 2023 Posted 30 August 2023 Would prefer to lose N'didi and keep Nacho at this point. I think we will struggle to get in a decent striker at this late hour. 2

Leaving 30 million on the table after Tielemans & Cags leaving for free is just heartbreaking. Sign or leave !!! 1

Nicolo Barella Posted 30 August 2023 Posted 30 August 2023 Really don't understand anyone who wants Iheanacho to leave at this stage. £15-20 million is not worth significantly risking our promotion chances. 2

Every other player we have signed so far has had a lot of noise and build up. Seems awfully quiet out there! 1

But maybe the rumours of players leaving aren't as certain as they appear 1

Daka has been frozen out and I do believe he will get a move done. I'd therefore like a 3rd striker to come in, perhaps a premier league loanee or a punt on someone from league 1. I've got no idea on whether N'didi goes, but would leave us short there too if he does. 1

Iheanacho is only average at best. He looks good playing Burton Albion but he has never been able to force his way into the side and dominate play. He has flashes of brilliance followed by periods of mediocrity . If he was the player many at FT think he is then lots of clubs would be interested in him. Our promotion does not hinge on him being here !!! We will do it with or without him.!! 3 1

Not saying we couldn’t manage without him but you couldn’t be more wrong about Iheanacho. Vardy (who has had plenty of purple patches) has completely jaded so much of our fan base when it comes to expectations of attacking players. And even when Iheanacho isn’t producing, he’s a handful all over the pitch and creating chances for others. 2
