Passing is supposed to be the best part of his game. But he can't even do that at the moment. Gives it away and puts us under pressure. Did ok last year but really poor this season. God knows what's happened to him

Before signing for us he'd just spent the season in the worst Sampdoria team of all time who were relegated finishing rock bottom, he's been on the decline for a while. Fed up of saying we have to get back to signing players on the up

I take your point with Facundo, but the only person that's ruined Winks is himself. Pining after Enzo like some love sick puppy. He's a yo yo player, too good for the  Championship, but shit in the PL.

He was arguably even crapper under Cooper, the 2nd half of the Southampton game aside. Hoops dropped him to try and get a reaction from him.

Rubbish. Surprised Ruud kept picking him for so long. Flapping his arms up in the air rather than trying to block the cross for Fulham’s first goal tells you his mentality. Constantly moans about decisions and doesn’t get stuck in.

And then the shocker of the performance yesterday. So so bad, all he had to do was keep the ball in the final minute but gives it away yet again and we know what happened next. Wish he’d go off to Chelsea as Enzo’s no.1 fan boy but he’s not good enough.

In form he is a good player. He just looks woefully off it at the moment hence being benched.

He seemed pretty decent under Cooper I wondered what changed?

Has Ruud actually improved any players because I'm not sure he has apart from Bilal.

Soumare surely? Looked like a footballer again under Cooper, but has managed to look almost PL level under Ruud.

I’ve come to realise Soumare is just Soumare. He does whatever it is he does. It’s up to those around him to make up for his shortcomings. He is weird, because he barely contributes in an attacking sense and is hopeless tracking. He excels at ball retention and progressing from deep midfield to the final 20 yards or so.

He remains the most bizarre footballer I’ve ever watched.

Wilf and Bouba as the 2 pivots is our only chance of survival IMO

Winks not prem quality, He i’s P*ss weak and less reliable on the ball than Papy Mendy  (Miss you Papy😞)

If we are trailing in a game and desperately need creativity from a deeper role, I’d drop Bilal back rather than playing Winks. Passenger.

The run tracking thing gets even more bizarre, as recently he's added the occasional lung bursting track back, but only when the centre backs (normally Vestergaard) have completely been left for dead. So he'll ignore normal work, but then go full throttle every now and again, before reverting back to idle mode. Then you get the occasional moments (normally when we are losing and getting desperate), when he suddenly decides "**** it" and dribbles past 6 players with no-one able to stop him - but he'll never do that at 0-0.

Last season was a Rolls  Royce in possession in a team that was set up to dominate and control the ball however out of possession he always looked lightweight and this has been further exasperated at premier league level where his lack of pace and physicality is even more exposed, also given we don’t control the game in the same way I kind of see him as a nothing sort of player, offers little in terms of defensive numbers and offers no real goal involvements.

The issue with our midfield is that at least Ndidi is a destroyer where as Soumare, Winks and Skipp are all vanilla players with no stand out quality, so it’s really difficult to see what any of those 3 actually offer in terms of either defensive structure or providing any meaningful link between defence and attack, whilst offering some sort of creativity.

It's where the Skipp signing is really shown up. I thought if nothing else he could be a steady 6/10 no frills type of midfielder who can at least do the basics. He's the obvious replacement for Ndidi - and he isn't getting on? He must be terrible.

It's a damning indictment for me that I'd have Soumare in my XI now because I've been 90% critical of the bloke.

One of the things Hermansen is missing is Winks.

Winks created space and was comfortable taking the ball into his feet from the back line.

Passing to Ndidi and Soumare is as bad as giving the ball away.

I loved Winks last year but let’s be real, he can’t hack being pressed.

nobody pressed us last year, we were too good. But every single prem side, doesn’t give you an inch, winks isn’t good enough at this level to take the ball in the pressure and do something worth while with it.

They both either fire the ball backwards without even attempting to turn, slowing down any chance of an attack and then disappear, not moving to receive the ball so the cbs either pass around and backwards until they give it away.

I think it helps if you can pass to people. He worked well with KDH.

He’s a good player on the ball.

Tielemans was the same in the season we went down.
