Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Winks play basically every game under Cooper?

Ruud is way worse than Marti, I really dislike Marti for the record but at least we are scoring some goals (although it is Prem vs Championship I guess). 9 games in a row with no goals surely has to cement him as the worst manager of all time, and this was with Vardy.

Can't say for sure how many games he played under Cooper but I'm sure he was really fond of Harry holding up a "we miss you Enzo" sign......must have loved Stevie boy.

I do in fact consider the PL to be harder than the Championship and I don't see Ruud doing any worse than Marti with this crop in an inferior league. Marti making a real pigs ear of looking like a real manager!

He didn't hold up a sign.

If he doesn't move on in this window, I can see him being offered some sort of settlement.

His contract is up at the end of the season so they can probably get it done for a few hundred thousand.

Why would Harry Winks agree to that? He would be losing money

If he's any interest in playing then it would make him a free agent, So he could sign for another Club. He get's to play and we save a few Bob on Salary.

Well he's so obviously finished here he might want to get away asap & play some football this season. Speaking personally, I would be willing to take a limited financial hit if a nice opportunity arises. Like on the continent or some nice part of the US maybe..

But yeah I'm being altruistic. I'm sure Winks is the kind that knows that he's on the biggest money he will ever get in his lifetime - so will milk it for all it's worth. Even if it means being sat at home while he is theoretically in the prime of his career.

Depends if he backs himself to immediately get a new club on the same wages.

Pay off from LCFC, sign on bonus from the new club and the same wages, he could comfortably make money if he backs himself.

Or, he doesn't take it because he's worried that he won't immediately get a new club and/or he's worried he won't match his wages that he's paid here...

Or he could see out his massive contract here that the club gave him and then sign for a club in the summer? Only a total dipstick would give up a load of money in a job to move a few months earlier.

Best situation for him would to be loaned out for rest of the season (if he actually wants to play football) then sign for a new club in the summer

He is in pole position whichever way it goes…..suspect we’ll pay him off, signing on fee new club, new contract with new club, lower salary over a longer period….the boy done well

Like I say it depends how quickly he feels he can find a new club. Say we pay him off with 10 week's wages, then he immediately walks into a new club, gets a sign on bonus and then continues to earn the same wage as he was on here, I'd say he would be better off.

My point is more that he knows he's never ever getting what he got here (like so many others) so yeah, he's going to stink it out here for the duration regardless.

Problem with Winks like many others .... is playing, putting a shift in, playing in front of fans, trying to show talent is now second to an over inflated pay packet ..... if football really wants to get its house in order ... then wages should only be based on results, league position and minutes on the pitch .... not thousands for being a mardy arsed prima Donna with no morals or decency

Idea seems too sensible, far more likely we just let him ride out full contract.

Nobody would pay him anything like what he's on here, though.

I suspect he'll go on a loan to the top tier in Italy, France or Spain, do well then get a permanent move in the summer.

The problem with Winks hasn't been his ability - he just signed to play for Enzo Maresca and has had the hump since we replaced him with three chancers.

No excuse for downing tools, though.

Yeah I mean that's the exact point I'm making hence why he will be here until June.

He got dropped by Cooper - he was on the bench for the Southampton game away and was brought on for Skipp at half time. Tbf he changed the game!

you missed the best, most descriptive part..... TWAT

The lads a prized muppet…. Imagine being in the later stages of what is a short career, being paid very well for where you’re at, and behaving like he’s behaved? Absolute madness really, really highlights how much of a twat he is.
