Just Mick McCarthy at Sunderland, Alan Ball at Manchester City, Jan Siewert at Huddersfield Town and Paul Jewell at Derby County have lost more games than Van Nistelrooy in their opening nine Premier League games.

I’m surprised that we haven’t tried 3 centre backs and using wing backs - could certainly do with some extra defensive cover, especially with the lack of out and out wingers that we have.

Criminally underused. Have to accept you will get anonymous periods but he is our most dangerous player when he is fit and firing. Looking forward to him staying and playing in the championship

Hot and cold winger like most of them are outside of the elite. Hopefully can be a key figure for us next season.

Obviously you’re one hell of a bloke, so I won’t waste your time. I’m not making any excuses for the manager. His form was unacceptable in games this season and that’s a fact. He is of a much better standard than he’s portrayed himself in games

The fact that he was left out of the starting 11 for Reid, Ayew is criminal.

 

Without Fatawu, Stephy is our only natural winger who can carry the ball and run at defenders.

 

By having that profile of winger in our squad and ignoring him for the majority of the season for wingers with “experience” yet can’t run is one of many reasons we’ve been so abysmal this season.
