Just my opinion. Go down to London on a Sunday and there are a thousand Mavididi's all playing Sunday League football. Is this what we have resorted to?? We need grisly, nasty experienced players, the sort O'Neil used to unearth to get us out of this mess, not overhyped nobody's.

Feels silly criticising somebody for scoring but that was just pure luck. 

 

The reason I've repeatedly described it as the most pathetic season from any outfield player I've seen, is not just because of the low output. Whilst the be all and end all is obviously scoring goals to win matches, that can happen from anywhere on the pitch so the main thing you want from your wide players is to stretch teams and generally carry a threat. Earlier in the season he got loads of chances/openings and was incredibly wasteful (not through his own making), but the second half of the season, he's done almost literally nothing. Created next to nothing, barely beat his man and not even liked he's opened up space for others. Hopefully he's gone in the summer

Keep seeing on Twitter that it's the same return that El Khannouss had for us this season. And he left in August

Most of them will be.  As a championship club a lot of players would join us on the basis that they'd probably expect to play a season of Champ football and then become Premier League players.  With this relegation you're talking about it taking, at best, another 2 seasons before that's possible.  In a short career most players aren't going to be happy essentially wasting their time in the lower echelons of the league.  Even if we think they're collectively there on merit, on an individual level they'll be blaming everyone else for their situation.

As I said above, it's not just about his goal contributions though. If he had those numbers but you were watching him beat lots of players, create chances, free up space for teammates because he's doubled up on etc, then you could still say he's been good. Unfortunately that side of him game has been significantly worse than his goal contributions output.

let's be honest, if he did and celebrated, everyone would instead change tune and ask why you're celebrating scoring a in a dead rubber having not shown up all season and contributed to us going down.

Just to expand on this,

 

This season he has the same amount of assists as Faes, Okoli, Nelson, Ricardo
El Khannouss has double the amount of assists and only played 136 mins, Soumare even got 2 assists this season

Our creativity has been non-existant all season.
