More than good enough for the Championship when Mads goes. Not worried about GK position next year.

Unless we've offered Ward another contract.....

If I'm really honest, Jakub has disappointed me the last few games. So has Mads, but I'm hoping for a more commanding performance today as he's likely to be keeper next season.

Jury is still out IMO.

Highlights showed some pretty decent saves. We seemed to defend all game, so not really sure what you want.

Think the biggest concern for me is how many shots he parries rather than aims to hold cleanly. He will make mistakes next year but he should be our number 1, and I have no doubt he’ll improve enormously.

Leeds won the league with Meslier in goal let’s not forget.

He will be the best if not one of the best goalkeepers in the league next season. Has always done well when called upon, once he gets a decent consistent run of games and is playing week in and week out he will push on. His career so far with us has largely been stop/start and has never really had a chance to get a decent run of games.

Well, they had to dump him to get over the line as he was a big part of them falling apart. But Jakub is a better keeper than Meslier imo.

I’d be happy with him as number 1 next season, gets better when playing regularly.

Be a shame to see Mads go but he’s to good for the champ and im sure we’ll make a tidy profit from him.

I think his distribution will be better than he's credited for as well tbh.

This season he's being given passes by a deep backline under pressure.  It's not the same thing as playing with a high line and stepping up to start moves.  We saw how good Mads was with his passing last season, but there was far less evidence of it in this when he's largely just got to punt it away rather than pick someone out.

Would also suggest lots going on behind the scenes so maybe today is the day we start to hear more news regards managerial position.

Yeah wouldn't be like them to give a contract to a player without sorting the new manager and checking if he'll even use him.

Something is happening - 9 new youth contracts plus Jakub's extension.

Whilst still very early on in the window, I hope it's a sign of things to come where we a) get business done early and b) have an actual strategy to rely on and use from now on for the next few years.

And then in about 1-2 months time I'll post on here and tell myself how wrong I was when we're signing Craig Dawson on a 3-year deal.

Leicester social media being disingenuous again. I don’t think Jakub has any say in it. Leicester has just triggered a contractual 1 year extension. If it was new contract it would surely be a 3 or 4 year deal. If Jakub has a good first half of the season and is still waiting for an offer that reflects his value don’t be surprised if he leaves on a free at the end of next season.

I think the club have been quite clear in the way it is stated that the club have been the ones that extended it?

Polish goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk has seen his contract extended by the Club

The fact they have extended only hopefully shows they may have leant some lessons. He has played pretty well as a number 2 and will be ok in championship next season but hasn’t done anything yet for a big long one yet, especially while we haven’t sold mads yet.
Prove you can be number one and you can get a long contract reflecting that of a top championship keeper. In the meantime, let’s have another year and see where we are at.
