I'm not sure after 4 games with a brand new squad, a new manager with new ideas that I expected things to click immediately. The start we've had is a bonus. Whilst poor at times, it's also been very good at others. I'm optimistic that 12 games in, with a few more additions and a settled squad, things will improve with greater consistency.

Lets hope so, need a few players as i'm not sure some of these are good enough to play this type of football

The only one who doesn’t look capable in the starting 11 is KDH to be honest.

Exactly this.

Faes' passing today was horrific. He also slowed the game down a couple of times too.

I don't know if he's getting complacent but today should have reminded him that this league is no joke.

Vestergaard is just too slow to continue to be a feasible centre back option for much longer. I couldnt give a monkeys if he can pick a pass to Winks after 3mins of thinking about it. Faes can at least give the ball away and have a fair stab at winning it back. Vestergaard is slower than Colin Gibson, Nicky Platnauer and an ice age -  cubed. He is slower than the plot of an Ingmar Bergmann movie. He has the turning ability of an early 1980s Margaret Thatcher. I havent looked at anyone elses opinions on him, I have the evidence of my own eyes. We could rename the trio of Faes, Ricardo and him as the Lion, the Titch and the Wardrobe.

Any top 6 six champo striker would have finished that 1 on 1 today where vestergaard was dragging his wage packet with him from the halfway line in an iron lung. The same vs Cov.

We may get away with it again against Rotherham, but we wont against Ipswich, Saints, Leeds, Birmingham, Blackburn, West Brom etc..

I was celebrating a penalty. Didn’t raise it was a goal until it flashed on the screen. If we had goal music…

The 10 men running very quickly to the corner of SK1 didn’t do it for you?lol

Coady in the side and we will be mustard. Remember this post.

Say we do get promoted and are looking to shape our prem squad, will Coady be deemed good enough? I know it's a long way off but Wolves and Everton not thinking so, is he a top 10 defender? I don’t think so hopefully we are able to have that conversation this time next year, but I agree he's perfect for the next 2 years.

Largely a pointless comment this, because its highly likely Coady will be playing those games. Vesty can then be used as backup for the games where the pace wont be so much of an issue, as we have seen in the 4 games we have played so far.

Say it again, he wont be the long term vision of the system, he is helping implement the system.

Struggling to understand how people missed the fact we scored literally milliseconds after Vardy was tackled/challenged for the penalty call.

Did you all simultaneously blink or close your eyes lol

Just in relation to “slow play”.

Would people rather us rest with the ball, or rest without the ball?

Our ability to outlast teams is currently what’s winning us games. We’re fitter, but when you have 65% possession, you can’t operate at 90mph for 58 minutes a game.

No surprise to me that we have won 3 games late on, in all 3 we ground the opposition down.

In all the league games the opposition has had 35% possession or less, which is very heavy on the legs and mind

Said it a few times, but it astonished me how Cardiff lost the plot at the end. They completely folded and that was down to the tactics.

I assume most looked straight to the ref.

Who was only just outside the box! Do our fans struggle with peripheral vision

Will we be a top ten team should we go up? I think Coady will be fine.

From G1 he is not in peripheral vision.

I looked at the referee then ball in net

I'm all for having an eye on the future, but for now the priority is getting back to the PL and sorting the current personnel out. There's time for the (entirely legitimate) concern about the qualities necessary should promotion happen.

Highlights showed Leicester on top for most of the match with a few decent chances. We should have won comfortably before Casadei's winner.

We look vulnerable on the counter from our attacking moves breaking down because of the lack of pace in defence.

I don't think this will change much when Vestergaard is replaced with Coady, we need to get JJ in the team.

Same could be said for 7 or 8 of the others

He'll be out for three weeks. Cheers, Soulsby.

This! It was a quite weird and subdued celebration for an injury time winner, but that's because a large chunk of us looked away from the melee to see if he'd give it!

Didn't even realise we'd scored until Cesar was leaping about in front of us. lol

I love watching us play, with Rodgers it was possession without purpose, with Enzo it’s completely different, it’s all about making the opposition work tirelessly just to retain their shape and structure and then capitalise as soon as they make a positional mistake or they press and we can use our quality to break the lines and then suddenly we come to life and the pace and purpose of our play suddenly cranks up 2 or 3 levels. That it’s horrible to play against as you have to be ultra fit and be able to concentrate for 90+ minutes, the reason we are scoring so many late goals is due to us being so relentless and basically playing teams into the ground by which time they are out on their feet and concentration levels have gone, this creates the space and opportunities to then go on and win games.

If and once we get more quality at the top end of the pitch we will be absolutely frightening, whilst we didn’t blow Cardiff away, some of the passages and patterns of play, especially in the 1st half were superb and it’s exciting to think what could be achieved if we continue to improve, with this style, there is a very high ceiling and we are very early into the process, rather than focusing on the negatives, there will always be some, be excited by what we already seeing and how good that could be over the next 12 months as the manager and coaches have more time to work with the squad and we can bring in more quality players who will thrive.

This! I think it's fascinating, obviously it's for the more intelligent minds buts its almost like chess, waiting patiently to make your move,  wait for the opposition to make and error and...booom take them out! It's still new, it's only going to get better in time but infinitely better than Rodgersball
