The mentality shift we’ve had is massive.  It’s great we are scoring late rather than conceding. Thought we were good first half, but came out slow second half again. Partly understandable with the goal and how it would’ve rocked us because we were so dominant. At times I think we are trying too hard for the perfect opening. But we deserved to win.

Yes this is very good, consider last season all the tight games we lost, we have now won 3 out of 3 games by a 1 goal margin with two of them late goals.

100% spot on.

I've posted similar before, saying I can understand why possession and patience is key to 'Enzo's Idea’ but god we are so boring to watch.  I'm half expecting to still see the little clapping toad and his notebook in the dugout still.

At times its like we are afraid to let go once we hit the halfway line. We just stop, and for the love of Christ we have to up the tempo in our play.  Do the passing and keep the possession, but do it faster, and really press forward when doing so. In the Cov match we did it a few times and cut through them like a hot knife, so it's in the locker, just not coming out and being deployed too often.

Yes I appreciate it's still early days and we are a few players short of Enzo's Ideal team, but it pains me to admit that I don't see it changing if his wishes were granted,Yes we will win and possibly get out of this dump of a league, but I fear for our first season back in the promised land if promoted.

I now await the chorus of "back your team, it's to early to say that, we are still a work on progress, transfer business still to be completed, judge him at Xmas" - but I think what we are witnessing now is what we will be at the halfway point of the season, is Enzo's way,  but like I said it's boring.

I mean I think that's an uncharitable take. Ultimately the goal is to be a more budget friendly pepball, and while that will include the patient passing to wear teams out (hence why we've scored 3 goals already in the final 15 minutes of games), it will include the rapid pass and move that sees man city rip teams apart. But, there is an adaption time to get it into the team. We'll see glimpses of it at the moment but what we're playing now is not quite enzos way

I can't get past the feeling that the team is underperforming again. Or maybe I've overrated massively this squad? Still early though, it will probably take some time to adapt to Enzo's tactics. At least there are some positive signs here and there but there are times I can see the gaps to exploit and we're going again sideways and back.

There's an angle from behind the goal where you can see the referee clearly wave it away and then the ball goes in

Doesn’t surprise me, dreadful all game.

They are frustrating in the extreme. Even putting to aside Enzo tactics; you still have KDH being so careless with the ball, Doyle losing his head for twenty minutes, Faes being arrogant, a young lad being asked to consistently go 1 on 1 with no help on an underlap or overlap. Errors seem to be unforced as well.

When it clicks it will be great but when it doesn’t work, can’t help feeling that playing with a better tempo will be a decent plan B ala the Cov comeback.

Played well first half, had we gone in ahead I think we'd have won comfortably. Just too careless today, too many poor decisions and giving the ball away.

But they do keep going and winning which helps the process. Think we need more going forward and the squad to settle down after the transfer window.

Good to be winning at home again after last season's misery.

I thought first half was arguably the best we have played this season, some of our play was superb but we lacked a cutting edge and wasted a few good chances to be out of sight before Ramseys absolute worldie. Whilst Cardiff looked dangerous on the counter in the 2nd half, and we weren’t as fluent, we gave the ball away cheaply because of poor or casual decision making, we were still far and away the dominant side.

What I love is the resilience and the belief to keep playing “our way” at no point did we aimlessly hump it forward. Our fitness is superb this season and the way we play just grinds teams down, Enzo also has a great habit of making very effective substitutions and it’s a good habit to be a team that keeps scoring late goals to win games, it’s a sign of a high quality team and the mentality Enzo is instilling is fantastic.

It’s far from the finished article and I hope over the next couple of weeks we can shift out 4 or 5 and bring in 4 or 5, if we can we will be flying. It’s not perfect but bloody hell it’s nice to feel like we have our Leicester back, Enzo has started to bring back the positivity and there is so much to be excited about.

Great post 🙌

Cant find the Praet thread.

Is he injured or on his bike?

I would still like us to have a different type of striker in the squad. Feels like we will miss having a striker decent in the air and more physical with his hold up play.

Any Ulloa types out there? That would be ideal for bringing our midfield into the attack and lethal with the amount of balls we can get into the box.

Are Vardy and Nacho enough? Surely need a 3rd striker with Daka off.

Incredibly harsh take. I don’t agree with your boring tag at all.  Certainly not for me. Tactically very interesting already and as Enzo has said, the team are only 10% where he wants them to be. We are playing risky, innovative stuff and the team, incomplete in terms of players Enzo wants in, are learning as they play.

I can say with some confidence that this is the poorest Leicester side ever to win its first four competitive matches of a season…

It’s the poorest Leicester side to ever to win its first four competitive matches of the season but it’s also the best ever Leicester side to ever to win its first four competitive matches of the season. 🤔

If we want to keep underperforming and winning every game I’m fine with that.

I hope Winks stays fit all season. He seems to be the key.

Him and Riccy P the best two players for us this season. Super consistent in every game. Winks travels forwards with the ball dangerously, way more than I thought he would.
