Great analysis as always, but you could have just put 'Yunus will start because Abdul isn't back from duty until Wednesday and will likely only fit a half session in' lol

Hey man, stop hitting me with your "facts" and "truths"! This is Foxes Talk and such common sense statements are NOT welcome here.

Looking at this thread you’d believe Southampton were championship galacticos.

But if you look under the word “obliging” in the English dictionary, then you will see our logo.

I was todays years old when I learned that Che Adams was born in Leicester and played for Oadby Town fc.

Yeh, pretty sure he went school in Twycross too.

Come Friday night, we'll probably make them look like Championship Galacticos.

We'll play about 400 passes around the defence & midfield,  they'll intercept a KDH stray pass & make 3 passes putting Che Adams through our bemused defence to slot one in.

Either that, or 3ft 4 Armstrong will leap above 11ft Vesty to nestle a corner in.

You not watched Southampton then I'm guessing? They're literally worse for it then us atm.

So we have the best squad but you’ve just written an essay about how appalling the defence is.

Did you miss the post pointing out how we are giving away fewer chances game by game?

I think you misinterpreted my “essay”……

What I’ve said is, on paper we have the best squad, however, the way the team has been set up is finely poised between scraping games by the odd goal, or self imploding.

Giving up less chances has more to do with the inconsistency throughout this division, than our ability to defend.

We need to come up against a side that have competent and pacy forwards, that way we will learn a lot more about this set up than we currently do.

Like I said, my biggest concern is Doyle, in the 1v1 he’s really struggled, and on Friday he is coming up against better wide players than we’ve recently encountered.

They do play a similar style of football, but we have had a tendency to make mediocre teams look good so far.

Not to mention, albeit early days, Armstrong is the league top scorer with Che Adams 1 goal behind him and as a team, they've scored 3 more goals than us.

We've been very fortunate so far with shocking opposition strikers. If we allow Adams & Armstrong through on goal, like we've allowed every other team through, then we won't be as lucky.

Southampton's 5-0 loss was a combination of them having an off day, but also Sunderland were really really good & they were really direct and clinical. We are neither so I expect a very boring, possession based game, from both teams with the deciding goal coming from who ever manages to put away the very few chances that will be created...

Is this the Tella that Bayer Leverkusen signed or his brother?

Not seen it mentioned much but i'm a bit worried about the fact Faes, Cas and Fatawu all feature today.

Means all will return home tomorrow, possibly be able to squeeze in a thursday AM session before travelling down to Southampton.

I think it's highly likely all three are on the bench Friday night.

It’s not like they’ve been on a round the world trip.

It will be the first time we've played against a team that will come forwards in numbers and leave space at the back. It will be Southampton's second such game - their previous one against Norwich ended in a 4-4 draw. They can't defend so they have to attack us if they want to win. We will also be going for the win.

So I'm not entirely convinced this will be the low-scoring borefest that some folk are predicting...

...Fatawu and Akgun play on the right hand side, any reason why you are electing to play either on the wrong side!!!

What’s wrong with a left footer playing on the left? If Pep starts doing it it may catch on!

No but given Enzo likes his double sessions and lots of training, I doubt he's going to throw 3 in who wont have done any work on his plan this week.

Faes will almost definitely start. The only one you’d really be concerned about not starting Fatuwu. The players generally have Wednesday off anyway.

Saw someone post this on the Saints forum and think he's probably called it right lol:

This game could be anything. 0-0 or 5-5 or a very one sided spanking for either side. There will be spells of dull possession for both sides before Manning or Winks tread on the ball and sets up a counter attack which will be followed by a counter-counter attack. The last 15 mins plus 'injury' time will be manic. My advice if not going to SMS would be to record the game and fast forward the dull bits.

Kuti's indian on the docks, is mint for a ruby post match. May have to book in numbers though 👍

Went there after the 0-9! Highly recommended. Although, I think anything would have tasted sweet that night.
