The worst that can happen is this drags on over the summer. If he does want to leave, I'd rather it's wrapped up now so the new boss can get a pre season in. Or a definite commitment from Enzo on his part. This uncertainty will do us no good at all while the FFP issues continue to linger

The main issue if he does by some miracle get approached for the Chelski (fake big club) job is the bond that he has developed with this squad. 

 

I don't get attached to managers or players tbh these days but he does seem to have the players with him and also, importantly, is the only figure at the club who actually understands the need for an atmosphere.

This is a huge reason why those on FT non-fussed about Enzo staying or not are actually bonkers.

Is it bad that I don't care if he stays or goes. The football whilst fruitful on the points front has been a turgid hard watch, with very few inspiring performances.

Players are professional aren’t they? They should be playing for the club rather than the manager..

If the players are that devastated about a manager leaving they probably need to get a grip.

Naive to think that. If you’ve gone from having a manager you loved and had a successful season with to someone new and things don’t start smoothly. That’s when shit hits the fan.

Non of the players would be crying about it either. They’d be disappointed but they know as well as anyone it’s just football.

Who would be a problem if they wanted to leave?

KDH rumoured, the only player wouldn’t want to leave is Fatawu, and Ricardo but after the injuries not fussed

it says they expect to appoint the new manager by next week

If you are at work and have a manager that you get on with and work well with you will be more productive than if that manager leaves and is replaced with someone who you don't work as well with this happens in all walks of life not just football

The advantage is this being the absolute perfect time for it to happen.


Get it wrapped up by the end of the week and we'll be fine.

 

The concern if it was in pre season is that we no longer have 'LCFC' staff. The entire coaching staff is Enzo's team. At the time this was good because we finally good rid of deadwood. But if we were left with no one during pre season.... knowing how long it takes us to hire someone new, would be horrific.

 

Potter stands out given the size of his backroom staff, would be a like for like swap in terms of the roles we need to fill.

This would put us back quite a bit if Enzo was to leave as the current squad is playing for the manager, bring in a lesser manager and we would 100% be in a relegation fight.

 

Or if we can persuade Poch to join if Enzo leaves that would be the only good option

If I was a Chelsea fan looking at that list I would be a bit like WTF we doing. 

 

Rumours circling that the 4th name is Xavi so if that's true then I imagine they will go for him.
