Casadei was poor and ndidi was only good because we had no one else better, but he was/is not a #8. I've been more than impressed with Yunus, and now we have shown that Raikhy can step up - it's not like we lost any significant quality, or that we didn't have excess to start with. 5

No players out = no players in why is this so difficult for people to understand??? Because we flew the man in on the basis it was agreed after negotiating the whole of Jan. Completed his medical, done all the media. Only for it not to get done a couple mins before the deadline. The man was literally at the training ground. 1

Its laughable how few players we actually sell for money. Recent history yes.. problem we had in the last few years is the staggering contracts we gave out to players At the end of the day.. we're top of the table without sensi.. we don't know if he'd have improved us or not. We have no new players unsettling anyone whose already here competing for game time and settled for the season. Let's just smash the next 17 games, get promoted and play transfers in the summer
sphericalfox Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 C'mon everyone, take yer pills. Doctor's orders. 2

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 Whether he would have made us better is really neither here or there at the moment. Just an absolute embarrassment once again. There is no way that Sensi would have been anywhere near Leicester today unless he was signing. How it has managed to **** up from there is massively unprofessional. if it was a one off, it could be forgiven but there have been far too many **** ups by us under the guidance of Rudkin. This will have further ramifications in the future too as other clubs will be wary of doing business with us.
FrankieADZ Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 can understand in a way, club didnt want to be bent over paying for someone whos out of contract in the summer. still a shambles tho

That point on ndidi genuinely hurts my eyes.
AjcW Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 The figures involved make it even worse. The club own several properties in Nottingham worth what Inter wanted, just for some context... Does FFP just have to be players? Could we not have sacrificed the penthouse apartment with views of the City Ground???
IsItMuzzy Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 We must have had enough confidence in the deal to fly Sensi over and complete the medical, paperwork etc… it’s entirely possible (and plausible) that Inter moved the goalposts at the last minute rather than a failure to negotiate on our behalf. 1

To be fair, it’s going to be awkward when he meets the players for Breakfast in the morning before jumping in his taxi. 2
gp96 Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 You just know that the incompetent idiots will be ringing his agent tomorrow asking if he wants to sign up on a Bosman after what we’ve put him through.

GingerrrFox Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 Proper amateur this. Absolute ****ing shit show. Issues like this show how incompetent you are at your job.
HarryDee8 Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 Sky sports news talking about it. Even the presenters are cussing the board 🤣🤣😠 2

This another on a long list of disappointing actions. It’s not about the signing or Sensi. it’s the way we have handled it. There is nothing here to debate, part of that decision making has us sat in the championship. That is exhibit A of the evidence. What exactly is there to defend. The approach is embarrassing and needs a “do better” sticker for the culprits. Surely, surely you cannot deny that ? That's a completely different debate that i've no interest in having - you asked only about this deal, and my answer is a perfectly rational and reasonable take on the sensi deal.
AjcW Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 Also if we genuinely didn't want to send Souttar to Leeds because we didn't want to strengthen them, that's an absolute joke of a decision too. 1

No players out = no players in why is this so difficult for people to understand??? Clearly then Rudkin and his team didn't understand this or why bother to bring this player over, agree terms and get him to do a medical which he supposedly passed. They clearly did all that in the expectation of signing him. If it was about selling first then we would have a pretty clear indication by lunchtime today that nothing was going to happen yet continued to proceed as if we could sign him. We'll probably never know the exact truth behind what happened here but it just looks so amateurish. 1
alanf0x Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 On the plus side, Rudkin can have an early night rather than messing around with a deal sheet after a heavy week in Thailand!!
LCFC-92 Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 Anyone know how to peel off letters from the back of football shirts? Asking for a friend. 1
foxile5 Posted 1 February 2024 Posted 1 February 2024 Utter, utter shit show. We've had ****ing weeks of this. How have we become so badly ran. 1
