It's mad that the thougth of Keith Stroud is putting me off going.

I'm still recovering from the midweek Millwall game. Was horrific for both teams then.

We were excellent against Ipswich for 70mins. I get the frustration at conceding a late equaliser, but it's simply wrong to suggest we've not been playing well when some of the football played last Monday was fantastic.

Football is a 90 min game not 70 mins. Got to play good football all game.

Stroud to referee Swans visit to Leicester City
January 29, 2024 by Swans Info
Hampshire born official Keith Stroud has been appointed the referee for the Swans trip to Championship league leaders Leicester City on Tuesday evening.

It will be the second time that Stroud has officiated a Swansea City game this season, having been the man in the middle for the Swans Boxing Day drubbing at Southampton.

Referee Stroud will be assisted by Lee Venamore and Mark Russell, with David Webb the 4th Official for the game at the King Power stadium.

If you have a read of Keith Stroud’s statistics when officiating Swansea City games, you’ll understand why he isn’t one of the most popular officials with Swansea City fans.

Keith Stroud EFL Championship Record 2023/2024
This will be the 15th Championship game that Stroud has taken charge of so far this season, during which he has handed out 72 yellow cards and 1 red card.

Four of those yellow cards were shown to Liam Cullen, Josh Tymon, Jay Fulton and Joe Allen during the Swansea’s 5-0 defeat at Southampton on Boxing Day.

This will be Stroud’s third Leicester game this season, having overseen the Foxes 3-2 home wins over Millwall last December and the 1-0 win against Sunderland in October.

During those games he showed yellow cards to Conor Coady, Wout Faes, Kelechi Iheanacho, Jannik Vestergaard, James Justin and Ricardo Pereira.

Oh **** off

There are a hell of a lot of tickets still not sold for this one.  I can only put it down to it being a rearranged fixture on a weeknight.  Good opportunity for casual fans to make the most of general sale though.

Win needed after an average spell.  A half decent performance should get us 3 points against these though.....famous last words

We were finding & creating chances, all over the place 2nd half against Brum.

Your on the money with Ipswich...

I don't really know what some fans are whining about.. They live in a concoction of fairytail and Disney, they can't take the real football story that it occasionally shares the various chapters with Brothers Grimm.

Too many pretty perfects that dream how football in their mind should be, and find the facts of shaping and working games  too imperfect to follow... Then let their frustration run free.. Though they have never seen a perfect season.. or game.

Yes

If he is, I wouldn't want him playing..

Just finished a tournament, and flying around, maybe pushing in meeting family... Let the guy relax, and have some space... Coming Weekend game is early enough for potential selection..

That is as maybe, but we have lost 5 points out of six in the last two games that was avoidable and self-inflicted.

Oooh how disgusting that football gets in your way,and every point is sqeakybum time  for you,and you can’t accept there is always another football team on the pitch.  And nothing is unavoidable, and

a better than thou attitude falls on empty ground..

Ignoring the unpleasantness that features in so many of your posts.  The ones that are decipherable anyway, I would say that Fatawu's sending off was entirely avoidable and cost us the Coventry game.  I would also say that retreating into our shells after being on top against ipswich was again avoidable and invited the inevitabe.  You don't have to agree.  But then you don't have to be a dick about it either.

And the Sunderland game. Be fair to him, this will be the first mid week game at Leicester this season where he won't miss an obvious penalty on Fatawu

I would play Albrighton over McAteer all season.

And give Vardy a decent run, with Albrighton, old style cross and hit. Still think Vardy will finish top scorer if he can get a scoring run going. What's the Championship 11 in 11 record?

All this talk about loads of unsold tickets but I put our two on the resale platform and they got snapped up.

* Struggling to get to all these midweek matches.
