Would be nice to hear from our chairman and director of football more.

We did and he had a go at the fans.

It has, but at this very specific moment in time I’m not 100% convinced they’re to blame. I know I’ll get hit with the no funds available in January thing, okay, fair enough I’ll hold my hands up there. However I think we need to start asking more serious questions of the players who we do have available.

There would be a large section of people who would back King Power even if they oversaw us relegated again and again.

Where are they gonna get their free beer once a season?

Makes you think.

We lost 3 league games on the bounce,  still bloody top and people questioning the owners! We having a bad run yes but this season hardly a shambles! 23 teams in the league will swap position with us, can't win the Premier league and FA cup every year!

Man city do 😏😂

They are not winning the championship 😉

Yea .. hardest league in the world apparently 😂

Only issue I have with Top is, noone dares call him a plastic.. but when anyone drops their match attendance for the championship they get called it

Seriously though, money they've pumped In, do what he wants... he's supplied more than enough for us to go up, lads need to get it done on the pitch

It keeps coming back to the January thing in terms of on field performance. Since they arrived how many signings have we made in January?

And when we make those signings how does the season finish?
The refusal to sign a midfield this window after we knew Ndidi was out Casedi was going back and Praet is injury prone is one of the main reasons we are struggling at the moment.
It’s a consistent issue - we’ve also got players like Iheanacho and Souttar,  who are not in the plans - why can’t we get these out? Even on loan should free up the money to bring in a player?

Agree but we have over achieved for a long time. Spent ages outside the too flight, even a year in league two.

Longest we'd spent in the prem prior to them taking over was 4 seasons in a row.

Had 9 years, a title, fa cup, charity shield, 3 european campaigns .. not been bad really has it.

This year is the most frustrating for me because with the squad and budget  and now the lead we've let slip.. its the first time we look like under achieving

Tops given Enzo all the tools, just hope he knows how to use em

Someone has to want them though. If we're so desperate to get rid then what makes you think anyone wants to take them on.

Say kelechi for example. Hasn't done anything in 18months for us. We see him as slow, sloppy and somewhat lazy and we're just fans, can't see any scouts being impressed

If he's not good enough for us, noone competing with us or higher wants him  and even if we paid half his wages, noone lower down can afford the other half.

Souttar has barely kicked a ball in a year.. so he'd need probably 4 to 6 weeks to get up to speed elsewhere, so noones going to take that risk in January now and again if he's not good enough for us, and the contract he'd be on.. noone will want him either

Kelechi is a proven Premier League goal scorer, there are teams crying out for goal scorers at the bottom of the PL, I know it’s not easy but if the deal is right, surely he’d improve Everton, Sheff Utd, Luton, Burnley, Forest etc…

Other clubs seem to make deals happen for the players they no longer require.

Souttar - hasn’t kicked a ball for us, but has on the international stage and has been brilliant again would improve a lot of teams.
We have an ongoing problem of not being able to shift the players we don’t require. We need huge improvements in this area as a club or we’ll always struggle to meet FFP and bring in the players we need.

We shouldn’t be in a position where we have 5 or 6 quality options in CB and 4 quality options up front - and 0 options in the 8 role. It’s poor squad management and we’ve had a real problem with it for a long time.

I can't think of a club other than perhaps man city that would prefer their current owners over ours.

What has been achieved over the last 10 years is beyond the wildest dreams of most clubs in our position.

Be careful what you wish for.

Can we have that nice chap Mr Mandaric back, please?

What’s become abundantly clear, is Top lacks the ruthlessness required to be an owner of a football club and a business. And I don’t blame him, losing his father in the manner that he did will change people for ever. It’s fair to say things haven’t been the same since that day.

But what I will say, is that he needs to surround himself with better footballing people, because they’re all too comfortable, and have a job regardless of what we do on the pitch. But, failure to get promoted could spell out a potential disaster, so there’s very concerning times ahead, and I don’t think Top would be the right person to navigate through that, but then again in the same breath no sale of a football club off the back of adversity is a good one.

It’s fair to say, the next two months could result in two very different futures.

“Be careful what you wish for” is never said in relation to anybody doing their job well is it? If that’s your argument pro the past few years then it about sums the mess up.

Heard it so many times too.
