The bloke who used to run Bob Warner's bike shop at the bottom of Sparkenhoe Street in Leicester, John has died. The building had been boarded up for a while, but very much a legendary local place in that part of Leicester.

Very sad news 

 

A fantastic keeper in the mid 90s.

Twice player of the season .

RIP.

 

Alan Knight, Ludek Miklosko and Kevin Miller have all passed in the last couple of weeks.

 

Doesn't even feel that long ago that I can remember them all playing against us

"That's Life" which brought her to fame was a springboard for her to be a champion for those that suffered illness, loneliness  and hardship as well as those at with incurable life limiting conditions such as her own.

 

Her fight for the right to decide on euthanasia must continue.

 

She will be remembered as a stalwart of the human right to decide how you leave this world if you're terminally ill  because she has suffered to the end.

 

Rantzen's Law, maybe?

That's Life, but what a life. A huge presence in british life in her prime.  Bravo. :appl:

 

The clip of the people whose lives were owed to Nicholas Winton, standing up behind him on That's Life, gets me every single time.
